RE: VAST price by Christmas8 Sep 2020 12:01
antharry, I saw VAST as promising, I prefer tech stocks or innovative companies bringing something new or disruptive to market as an investment but do dabble with oil/minors/sentiment/what's hot, plays for fun. I primarily trade the spot FX, equity indices etc, as a discretionary intraday technical trader. So please forigve me if my view here is not as yours is, you are the expert in this investing feild as I can see from your posting history this is your only investment, so I would expect you to be up to know more about it. Having said that I am mostly cash on investments at the moment because I want to see what happens to the markets when furlough is no more and the money printing stops.
VAST had a lot of positive sentiment when I first looked, I had held other similar companies primarily copper focused without naming names that seemed to always be hoping to get where VAST was on the cusp of being. Copper is going to have a good run over the next 12 months in my limited view.
Some of the cash flow forecasts for VAST seemed to show the potential net revenue per year when compared to the market cap is great. I then saw that they had a few other assets in the portfolio and thought even if it achieved half what it is setting out too, it could really be something. It seemed to stack up as a small investment option to me.
The hype and sentiment were climbing as I bought in and despite the obvious issue of the three previous back to back monthly raises, they were small raises, it would have been far more sensible to raise a larger amount rather than annoy investors and create doubt. However, I still thought from a risk to reward play it seemed a viable trade so I took a starter position at .22 area and then added at .21 .19 and just under .18. Which sounds like I am putting my broker's kids through private school but the commissions are low and the total amount is still just under 2% of my trading capital.
The recent bridge RNS didn't worry me too much I figured it was a track issue or something along those lines that would be fixed as fast and cheaply as humanly possible.
I didn't have a target in mind as I wanted to see how it played out but expect to see .30s at some point 2020 and will aim to derisk some there. You say that it seems to do the opposite of what I have expected and that is a fair comment but again it depends on time scales. But it is fair of you to mock me and I don't mind that, as it is always good to have a difference of opinions. I hope that my buys given my average is now around .20 will be in profit soon enough.
Wish you the best
