AAPG European Conference is underway in Batumi
In recent years, the process of oil exploration and extraction has intensified in Georgia. The bidding for many land blocks has just ended, and this year, after a long wait, Georgia's plans for an international tender covering the Black Sea shelf territory will be announced. One of the key issues at the conference is the potential of Georgia's hydrocarbon resources and prospects for their exploitation, which are being discussed by major oil companies such as ExxonMobil, OMV PETROM, TOTAL and others. There are grounds for interest.
 The event was opened by Deputy Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Ekaterine Mikabadze, who in her speech focused on the country's macroeconomic stability and liberal and predictable business environment. Co-chairs of the conference are: Gabor Tari - Representative of the largest Austrian company OMV and Head of the State Oil and Gas Agency of the Ministry of Economy of Georgia Giorgi Tatishvili. The conference is attended by representatives of Georgia, England, Netherlands, France, Switzerland, Austria, Turkey, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Romania, Spain's largest oil companies and academic institutions.
During the event, participants will meet with representatives of oil exploration and exploration companies and learn about the work of academic institutions conducting large-scale research in our region.
