Shorting of Bitcoin increased sharply this evening. I wonder what’s behind this I must ask ?

Yep I’m concerned as well. Going on past history of Bitcoin price and Mara price Mara should be at 12 Dollars per share when Bitcoin is at 23,000 but it isn’t and is showing weakness almost like it’s de-coupling away from the increase in Bitcoin price. Argo did the same and look where it is now.

Right I’m off to bed with my hot water bottle, eye mask and headphones. Gonna listen to the soundtrack of a clockwork orange as I can’t watch Bitcoin price movements any longer tonight. PI - the drop is down to profit taking .

Ooops said that too soon , short positions building again damn it.

It’s actually quite good fun watching the shorts close their positions, re-open them then close them again hehe , all in the last 15 minutes.

I agree , they are annoying and acting like excited puppies.

Looks like profit taking to me as no evidence the drop is due to shorts positions opening or perhaps Bitcoin related bad news being released.

Maybe a long wait for any good news coming out of Gcat so not looking at buying back in any time soon.

I agree but the government would miss out on tax if they banned it. Back in 2008 crash they put a temporary ban on shorting uk stock didn’t they? But that was put in place to prevent a full scale market crash which may hurt them more.

I have no problem with people shorting stocks but when it becomes manipulation I do. Many short attacks come from a syndicate of “wales”
probably working from a forum on the dark web to organise times and dates to carry these out.

Shorts made their leveraged 3% from that attack , closing their positions now and they go long. It’s all so obvious and damn well manipulation,
