Roundtable Discussion; The Future of Mineral Sands. Watch the video here.
Wish I had the answers Harry.
The next test needs to be perfectly executed to get us back on track though. Can't afford any more screw ups.
Cheers
Not been impressed with the way S&S have dealt with us shareholders, communications have been pretty poor up until the release of these last 2 interviews. We notionally have a portfolio of assets, not just WN, so more could/should be made of California, Parta, Victory etc.
Having said that, the issues at WB B1Z are surely down to Rathlin and their approach to the testing programme? S&S have to front up for the failure, but the technical calls would surely have been made by Rathlin's team. I'd be more concerned about them than S&S on current evidence.
Harry, was going to post something very similar wrt Victory, good call.
Maybe they know early they just needed to diversify due to ongoing WN challenges & took a short term hit on the sp to ensure they had a Plan B.
Whichever way, this is a pretty grim place to be, at 0.4p, I needed a 75% increase to break even, now need the best part of a 300% uplift to get back to my investment (made mostly 3 years ago).
I know some think no-one would make an offer here without more data/certainty & maybe that's the reality of O&G I don't really understand. But for a major, offering double our current MC for all the assets available is lose change & low risk.
Can't remember who said it a couple of weeks ago, but have our Gruesome Twosome walked us into a cheap takeover.
Pretty depressing all round tbh. Good luck to everyone.
What's that on the plate Rubey's just given you Unabashed...........oh, it's your ar$e
"ultra ego", lol
'scuse my ignorance.......is that an oil tanker being filled bottom left of the footage. If so, I assume very good news!?
Thanks to Dean.
Good to look back at that interview.
BD did say at 5:20 the CPR would be commissioned pretty soon and would be completed before testing.
I seem to recall a Reabold saying the CPR would be completed in July.
Anyone know why it would be delayed/held back? Thanks
Thanks both, that's my (best guess) gut feeling.
Hi Manwell, from the 25th May RNS:
"The equipment will be rigged-up during the first week of operations, after which completion activities, including perforation and well treatment operations, will commence. The well test will follow these operations. Overall, the duration of the West Newton B-1z completion and testing operations is expected to take approximately six weeks. Following this, the testing of the A-2 well will take place."
We're well past the 6 week mark now (I know it says approx) & have had little by way of update. Does that fact they're still at it and keeping quiet give you more confidence or concern?
Many Thanks
Don't think you missed anything worthwhile Watts.
I thought there might be some comment from anyone who managed to attend the AGM, but nothing as yet.
Hi Manwell,
Can't argue with any of that.
Hopefully we'll get some concrete info ahead of the AGM and not just around WN as you note.
I agree there's always the option to sell, but there do seem to be enough value adding assets for the sp to recover enough to make the wait worth while..
Cheers
Ghengis, just mucking about 'cos I'm bored.
Having said that, Manwell's views always seem informed to me, and more so than those of BMD............
Hi Manwell, any chance of setting up a blog under the above name & posting positive vibes from an informed POV for WN?
Hopefully that might move this the right way & counter the fall (9/10 chance of success).
Think BMW sounds far better than BMD!
That's what I saw too feelin......
This is just getting ridiculous. We'll be down to cash in bank value soon :-(
No Rubey, you didn't tbf. Your point around the WNA application is well made & Manwell's link is probably the reason we're sitting where we are. Hopefully not for much longer though.
Get all that, but our current predicament has nothing to do with them.
Our SP is dire considering, notionally, how far we have come & the opportunity we have.
Are we just being played like a fiddle before a massive increase?
Are the sellers from C and cashing in because they have to?
Are the sellers the II's who bought in at 0.9 nearly 2 years ago & need to get out before they get fired?
I'm half incensed, half bemused about where we are now. We were nearly double this when WN was embryonic., just beggars belief.
I've held long enough & am far enough down to see this through the bitter, or hopefully sweet end.
Tough time for all I guess.
Probably not new or news for most, but looks like progress still being made at WN.

Thanks to The original poster for sharing the output of his efforts.
Hopefully with the uptick today, good news is on the way.
Oh well, it was great while it lasted.......
At least they are buys!
