is there any synergy with the technology

The subject of the article was Basimmune.......................There are a number of teams of scientists looking to develop Covid-19 vaccines that would provide broader protection against different variants, including a project involving researchers at Nottingham Trent University and immunology company Scancell. But many of these appear to be focused on just two parts of the virus, rather than scanning for hundreds of factors.

Could somebody describe the hundreds of factors they mention it in what seems in comparison to Scancell. Sure a big ambition but surely that would take a considerable amount of research for trialling and very complicated

Just wanted to add that after spending some considerable time getting re acquanted with different posters opinions, that there are so many variables and possibilities which lead to much speculation.

My fear was that over a few weeks I had missed some key posts re timelines but not so the case now, just some very good posts, thoughts and many excellent posts from Crumbs,

I too thought 20p would be tested a couple of weeks ago, but the support was remarkable at the time, and we looked fairly strong on Tuesday. Trusting we will remain in that price range a little longer, Whilst I did take 40k shares profit at 27.7p I just couldn"t imagine selling now at 22.50 and missing what could be the biggest rise we haven"t seen yet, and it is very heartening still seeing Scancell figuring high in shares to own in the bio news sheets. We used to ask a couple of years back whether Scancell was as well known as we hoped, well I think that question has been answered resolutely and I guess the favourite for bad news will be another article from TW when he decided he wants to add more Scancell shares, lol.

A few sellers in the market yesterday, namely a 50k seller who put through 5 or 6 sells traded. Could well have been the same round figure seller at 100k, 25k and 20k too.

Sub23 down to 22.50 not the best return as we hit the middle of the recent spread 21/25 to close 22.50/23.30

No news still on all of our platforms, some would have thought news would of come on at least one platfrom, but whilst patience is being tested, and as hasiba was saying I am sure too that for those with a better understanding of the market that better returns on money can be got elsewhere.

Watching the news everyday for updates now and the one clear fact that comes over to me is the need for vaccines just grow each passing week. We are seeing a few links one that was posted by cleanerworld yesterday where they mention Scancell but also comment on work on new vaccines that could offer better defence to ours by the sheer number of targets they are reaching for above than just the "S" AND "N"" proteins. eVEN cepi mentioned us again on the 12t March can oanybody comment on these other vaccines, and do you agree that with the recent media blitzes it is just a matter of time before we initiate trials, which was what Innovate covered with their initial grant.''Going back just to the start of the year I felt a Big Pharma namely Sanofi would partner with us, even for a Phase 1 trial there resources would add much weight to recruitment of patients, and seeing how short a time the Big Pharmas completed trials till Approval would it not be a wise move to have all our ducks in a row from Phase 1 onwards, and does anyone really thing if we run the Phase 1 ourselves the value of COVIDITY would rise that significantly on our own, there is no way IMHO we have the resources to take this through to a Phase 2/3 study where with Approval nearing their expertise in marketing, distribution and possibly vaccine production itself will be instrumental in our success. I just get the feeling we are already in many negotiations for the best way forward and for shareholders confidence yes it is vital we get updates very soon.

In he last 24 hours there have been 2,700 new cases and 45 deaths. Something must be right since we were seeing over 30k cases a day and 1000 deaths.

Well that is pretty much what Van Tam was saying. All we do know is that in this country over 20m vaccines have been given, and with 79 cases that is enough to take this precautionary action, although the risk/reward greatly favours age groups up to 29.

We cannot really say what criteria other countries will use.

I doubt whether the Canadian government have spent such exhaustive studies as us.

Over 60% of adult in the UK have now been given.................new cases and deaths are rather speaking for themselves IMHO

As was mentioned too ,was countries like France and Germany should be very careful not harm themselves further as 9 times more people are dying in their countries and it has been proven that the risk/rewards grossly point to a big positive using the AZ vaccine. We should remeber that these 79 incidences in over 20m vaccinated are from people with low platelets and there is nothing which is risk free when we consider the carnage we have been living with for 16 months now.

Well they have just said there is not yet a proven link, we are taking a precautionary measure based on 79 incidences from over 20m vaccinations.

It is still not ""proven"" that all the cases are from the Astra Zeneca jab as they do not have enough data through from others to prove otherwise. There were very high incidences of thrombosis and strokes with patients admitted with the virus. Much more data needed, but a very good precautionary measure that we know many are keeping an eagle eye on the global situation.

nlondon, I believe a couple of years ago it was said our plans to join US market were at least 2 years away. It would seem with no trials planned for the States, we could well have to wait longer. IMHO

It would seem to be the case that we are not planning any US trials for now, so a US listing is safely off the cards atm for Scancell. IMHO

AT 23.5p Another fair volume day less 352k Bed and isas-. As last week just seems that any sells are being snapped up as buys and it seems another coming tomorrow.

Again looking forward to tomorrow and that is without a dentists appointment at 09.15!!! Building up IMHO to news which will see us through the 30sband well beyond that to the 50s. Goodnight
