the warrant shares were surely forward sold by Friday, hence the 10m chunk. I was sure it was a buy originally based on prices at the time, but when i remembered the last set of broker's warrants, that the broker's financial year end was 31 march, and they could use the money, it seemed possible that's what they were, to be confirmed by Issue of Equity, which duly arrived. What I hadn't realised was how many warrants were still in the pipeline (I'd assumed it was the recent issue, not the 0.65 one which was before my time). Anyway, some of those are gone now.

Broker's year end is 31 march and they could use the money, so I suspect it was their warrants exercised and sold in new financial year.

Note that the options issued recently don't start to vest for a year, so those can't be involved.

The Option Grant RNS said "Following this grant of Options, there will be 145,229,182 options outstanding under the Option Scheme over approximately 6.8% of the currently issued Ordinary Share capital of the Company." so the 87m figure looks low if it includes options.

Neither "buy" nor "sell" is represented in the exchange data: it's all inferred for O trades. A (AT) trades are strict trades, though.

Looking at the Stock Exchange data I did notice 27 OILQ trades ("negotiated trade in illiquid instruments"), throughout the day, totalling 3,568,733 units. Never noticed those before. Wonder what they were trading.

As to the 10m, I wonder if the brokers exercised their warrants (at 1.6); if so, there will be an RNS about issue of shares (but the company gets some cash). They had 11,175,000. I don't know what other warrants might be floating about for KEFI.

Anyway, it's all going to happen shortly. (That it didn't happen before the 6th allowed ISA transfers. So it was actually all to the good, especially with the Treasury muttering about changing CGT.) If you think how tricky a house purchase chain can be to manage, or more to the point you've been involved in deals of just a few million, where the deadline shifted as other people in the chain juggled finance, you won't be too surprised if something involving much bigger numbers takes a little longer. It will happen.

I don't know why the Stock Exchange doesn't mark O trades as either to or from an mm, but it doesn't, so the software has to guess. The black prints were introduced to show when it didn't know (just on mid); previously it would randomly pick red or blue!

Of course it's a buy. The red black blue crud is done locally not by the exchange, because the punters like it.
In this case, it was delayed, which is allowed because it was many multiples of the market size, but the software here that does the red black blue stuff doesn't look back to see *what the prices were at the time* so it's used the prices near close.
At the actual time this morning, bid and mid were below the price paid for the 10m. Also if you look at the intraday chart, there was a big spike up just a little later (that was partly a technical thing, but it would have gone the other way with a sell that big).

Since they are ALGO trades, probably not. One or more trading bots have been running for months on this thing, keeping it in this range.

Yes, the rehearsal of all the things to do for three years and emphasising keeping the team to do that surely does tend to suggest that they really will have those things to do for at least three years!

Intraday auction. Livens things up.

First, options cannot be exercised until they vest, which doesn't start to happen here for a year from now, and then in annual chunks. Second, they were issued at 2.55 so to start to exercise them, in a year's time, the recipient must *pay* 2.55 to exercise each option to get a share. They are call options.

They don't even vest for a year and only in equal chunks over the next three years.
