Cobham plc ('Cobham') announces that its Cobham Aviation Services business in Australia, has been awarded two mining industry contracts worth a total of AUD$90 million. In Western Australia, a four year UD$50 million contract extension has been agreed with HWE Mining to provide air services to Yandi and Mining Area C in the Pilbara, with the services upgraded to a BAE 146 300 Series aircraft. A AUD$40 million contract extension has been secured with Perth-based Minara Resources Limited to fly personnel to the Murrin Murrin nickel and cobalt mine in Outback Western Australia. The route will be serviced by a BAE 146 200 Series aircraft and the contract will run to 2013, with an option for another two years. The contracts follow the receipt of a $50 million contract extension in late 2008 with the OK Tedi copper and gold mine in Papua New Guinea and the introduction of a new service to the WA gold and nickel town of Kambalda. Allan Cook, Cobham's Chief Executive, commented: "In the last six months, we have secured some AUD$140m of resource industry contracts which has further strengthened our position in the Australian market."

A real Yoyo today, but it at least feels DOM is making a slow comeback to former levels preceding the last good news and consequential profit taking. Fingers crossed, still expect some bumps but optimistic for the longer term.

I share Nice1's patience and optimism here. As stated in previous postings I believe everything is being done on the Directorate level. It would appear with hindsight that the CMR Board in negotiating previous finance with Bluecrest made a bad choice in giving them rights controlling any Newswires or RNS publications. Reading back over historic RNSs Bluecrest are seldom named and one reads the " Financier " and not Bluecrest. Many will be glad to see the back of BC. It's not the first time CMR would have Suspended and it can't be long before they are back. Perhaps we could "Google Earth" the mine, to check on any activity or shiny gold on the surface.

The Company was incorporated in October 1996 as 713257 Alberta Inc. pursuant to the Business Corporations Act (Alberta) and in January 1997 changed its name to Uruguay Goldfields Inc ("UGI"). In February 2002, it changed its name to Uruguay Mineral Exploration Inc., discontinued to act in Alberta and continued acting in Yukon. In March 2000, the Common Shares of the Company were admitted for listing on the Canadian Venture Exchange. In June 2002, the Canadian Venture Exchange was acquired by the Toronto Stock Exchange and its name was changed to the TSX Venture Exchange, where the Company's common shares now trade under the symbol "UME".

I guess a little uncertainy as no Offer price mentioned at this stage also UME is not covered by the Takeover Code (UK). Any Offer would be governed by the regulations of Yukon Territory, Canada. So perhaps some hesitance at this stage and the next few days will be interesting.
