How do you work that out? If it was bad we would have known pretty quickly as they would have demobbed the crew and equipment to save money It took less than 2 weeks to perforate and test CS2001 whereas EMS had been perforated and had inflow testing done before the frack started
I thought the plan was to use the results of the frack at EMS to work out the best way to do ELM? I’m assuming they’re doing the frack on EMS before getting into the naturally fractured zones as it would be a nightmare to frack it while they had oil coming out of the well, perhaps we’re going to see more perforations in the fractured zone after we’ve finished this operation?
London, It’s in the Farm In agreement http://www.lse.co.uk/regulatory-news-article.asp?ArticleCode=jxjk2usq&ArticleHeadline=FarmIn_Agreement · A deferred cash payment of US$2.5 million on completion of the initial term work programme. · After the completion of the initial term work programme, the Company has the option to progress to the second term on the licences for which a provisional work programme has been envisaged including expanding the total seismic acquisition across the blocks (including that acquired in first term) to 2,000 square kilometres and drilling a further 8 exploration wells across the licences. · On election by the Company to progress to the second term, the total carry of CGC's interests by Echo (including all expenditure in the initial term) would be capped at a total of US$35 million and during the term a second deferred payment of US$5 million would be payable which may at the election of the Company be deferred to development costs. · CGC and the Company will enter into a joint operating agreement on completion of the Transaction with Echo being appointed as Technical Operator of the Fracción C, Fracción D and Laguna De Los Capones licence areas.

To its critics, the authority replied: "those who say there is no gas in Boyuy, both analysts and the press, I present the part of today, says that the current depth is 8,872 meters, that is to say that we already have a layer of sand between dirty and clean of more than 200 meters, is a mega structure that goes from north to south and is drilling at 40 centimeters per hour, this is also a strong indication that not only have we reached that depth, but we are drilling very slowly because the Huamampampa sand has these abrasive characteristics and we can not go faster because the trephine wears out, but the most important thing is that between 7,872 and 7,874, we continue with 100% sandstone, it is a totally clean sand and it has a Gas detection of about 270 Total Gas Units, in addition to Fluoresence. We do not do the test now because we want to go deeper, up to 8,000 m, to have a thicker package of producing sands, to have more resources and production, so we are still in the exploratory drilling stage ".
Finally, the authority said "all Bolivians should be happy for all these positive things to find more gas, to have new markets, to have a high oil income and industrialization, but the opponents do not make these achievements happy, it takes away the dream, but these benefits are for everyone. There was no better time in the history of the hydrocarbons sector than this golden age and the next period will be much better, brighter, because exploration, industrialization, new markets, internationalization, participation of YPFB in the international market through of marketing and distribution, green fuels, massification of gas networks and many other projects ".
UCOM-MH-13-01-2019.- In an interview with the program El Pueblo es Noticia, the Minister of Hydrocarbons, Luis Alberto Sánchez, explained that "the success of the discovery of the Boyuy well, has as its most important milestone finding a sea of ??gas in the depths of the South Subandino, which goes from Santa Cruz, passes through Chuquisaca and reaches Tarija. It passes through fields such as San Alberto, Sábalo, Incahuasi, Margarita, Huacaya, Iñiguazu, possibly by San Telmo and Astillero, there are 43 areas of hydrocarbon interest in this area. Before we only knew that between 4,000 and 5,800 meters there was the Huamampampa formation, today we have found at 7,640 meters the Humampampa Kïpe, it has this name because in Guarani it means deep, the other Huamampampa that we knew was in shallow areas ".
In that sense, the authority explained that the discovery of Huamampampa Kïpe is important and of global relevance. "Different geologists of the world have been calling me for this mega structure, which is one of the most important discoveries of recent decades. Before all the conceptions of the national and foreign companies said that there was gas only above the Mandiyuti fault, at a maximum depth of 5,800 meters, until there was our geological capacity, that the Huamampampa only existed at these levels, today we can to say through this geological success that there is gas also below this fault and that the characteristics of this sand of the Huapampampa Kipe are equal or better than those above. We broke the paradigms of exploration, discovered approximately 240 meters thick of Huamampampa Kïpe, we will continue to drill up to 8,000 meters. So now, with this finding in San Alberto, Sábalo and other fields, in addition to the new areas such as San Telmo Norte and Astillero, they should go deep. "
The minister explained "it is a new discovery because in this mega structure we have found formations with large manifestations of gas hydrocarbons, liquids, important detections of gas that are called Total Gas Units, evidence that the sand is naturally fractured, which allows flow the gas; and traces of associated condensate. Which means that what we have gone through from 7,640 meters to the moment has all the characteristics to be a producer reservoir. "
Sánchez explained that the Boyuy-X2 well has been working since before 2015 with surface geology, regional geology, seismic, processing and interpretation. The Incentives Law greatly helped this investment, which to date is US $ 120 million.

Hi Matt. EMS will be stimulated, cleaned up, and tested first; we plan to use the stimulation and test results from EMS to optimise the ELM job, so there will potentially be a few weeks after EMS has finished before the equipment would return to ELM for that stimulation.
