SaS, the question is, what is the deal? We just don’t know that.
How else can the shorters be acting with the obvious confidence that they are?
What is their plan otherwise to exit this short? It just seems implausible to buy that volume back in the open market and not spike the sp.
If (and it is a very big “if”) I am close to the mark, the sp will snap back up very rapidly after the event. So that is at least the good news.
Anyway, I am happy to see this play out as my buy in price is 1.76p, from before Newmont walked.
It depends on the deal that might have been agreed.
In snooker terms, it could be a “shot to nothing” where those 2 parties can’t lose, depending on what has been agreed.
As I said, it is speculation, but think about it. It is not beyond the bounds of possibility.
Otherwise, any ideas as to what their plan is?
They seem to have one.
The short is steadily increasing, so perhaps they are confident of their exit.
Perhaps, and this is just speculation, their exit will be timed with a) the decision to mine or b) the settlement of the 5%, as either event will mean the issue of 145 million shares to Pacific Trends.
Maybe a deal has been done between the shorters and PT.
Or maybe I am barking up the wrong tree.
It might seem unlikely, but you never know…..
That reminds me of a Colin B quote from about 3 years ago, which said something like “everything in automotive takes forever, and then a bit longer”
I think that we are now at the bit longer stage of things. Some of us have been here for a while now and I think that we really are nearly at the start of the good times from a share price perspective.
Phil, the drop off in daily Km travelled I think relates to the Launch of Guardian Live. Sophie did confirm this on the email to me. I got no response to my follow up emails trying to find out if all Guardian connections would feed through into the figure on the front of the web page. II think that it is safe to assume that the daily km travelled does not represent the total connections.
Colin is still of the opinion that Smarteye has won Volvo. https://www.linkedin.com/in/colin-barnden-1081376/detail/recent-activity/

Well, Paul seems to be liking Cerence. So Smarteye are still confident?
Whatif, I did finally get a response from Sophie on this issue. There has been no drop off in Fleet customers. The drop appears to coincide with the Launch of Guardian Live 3.0 and there is some technical issue which they are supposed to be looking into.
Now, where is The RNS for that bit of news? Paul? Sophie? Anyone?
