I think lamtree has a point about the cscs card they have changed now before it was multi choice at a test centre and you would have to be dumb not to pass, now if your a brickie for instance with years of experience you have to go to college to get an nvq level2 in bricklaying to get a blue card to get on site or i think some lads were quoted 700 pounds for a assessor to come on site to sign them of as skilled to get there card that way if your a subbie it comes out of your pocket, all money making imo.
If anyone intrested hurricane energy could be worh a look at,M fool has tipped them two or three times in the last couple of months,I know thats not much of a recomendation but they had a nice little 4p rise the other day and broker forecast yesterday of 70p which is a 125% upside on current price.
As tempting as it was to sell some ive held as this has been steady lately even with all the uncertainty, now with things more positive and i expect the rics report to be upbeat im hoping for a steady rise next week,I think if you have sold some its more because of the pattern of the share up over 2quid then down again its gotta change sooner or later surely!
I think the rise in housebuilders is due to construction data yesterday which showed a reading of 53.1 up from 50.8 in october beating economist forecast for 51.0 A reading above 50 indicates growth,it was the highest reading in 5months with housebuilding as the primary growth engine,as usual forecasters wrong!
Hi nig, have to say my wife agrees with you that prefabs are the houses of the future, more eco friendly energy efficient and more affordable and its hard to argue against but would any of the big builders want to fill there sites with cheaper houses they seem to be doing alright with traditional houses if persimmon can make there chairman the highest paid boss on the ftse with 112 million bonus its all about the profit isnt it?
Cant see the attraction of self drive cars how could you relax it would be like taking your son or daughter out on there first lesson,Im sure tom didnt spend all that money on his bm to be a passenger his enjoyment is driving it!
Hi nige ,I think the one on grand design out of most peoples price range,But they look very impressive and if they are affordable thats what we need,I wonder what the lifespan isand you still have the costs of manufacturing, transport, crane ,put together on site,Ithink alot of people have a stigma with the word prefab, thinking post war and mobile home, dont think they will ! take over traditional homes but never say never!
nige you have some strange posts in the middle of the night,tw going to open at 170 and now brickies joiners and plasterers soon be trades of the past, how much mulled wine you knocking back, have you seen the arsecrack on a robot and they would be naff at wolfwhistling,i could imagine one malfunctioning when the building inspector come round like in the robocop film!
