September 2022 – The President and CEO of TIMOR GAP, Mr. Antonio de Sousa, recently went to Washington, U.S., to garner both technical expertise and strategic support from US policymakers for the development of the Greater Sunrise (GSR) gas and condensate fields.

Based on the current profound studies from upstream, midstream (pipeline FEED studies) to downstream (TLNG pre-FEED studies) it is clear that there is only one option to develop the GSR field which is piping the gas to Beaço, TL. It is also clear that until today, Woodside as operator of GSR has never performed any details studies as TG has done, even Woodside has never technically identified the designated site/location and pipeline route as well as LNG plant for processing GSR gas.

A deadline has been set to finalize a legal framework and production sharing contract for the offshore project. Mr. de Sousa also shared his outlook for future growth in the LNG market.

Thursday, 16 March 2023; More over 90 petroleum and mining companies attended the Timor-Leste Energy Forum at Perth Convention and Exhibition Center during the Australian Oil and Gas Exhibition. During the event, ANPM team lead by President of ANPM, Mr. Florentino Soares Ferreira and Vice President, Mr. Jose Goncalves include CEO and President of Timor Gap E.P. Mr. Antonio de Sousa and Vice President of Santos, Mr. Richard, presented to the audiences the progress of the oil and gas project in TImor Leste, as well as mineral sector development and first licensing round of mining include the CCS Project.

Well we all believe is the asset, the solutions it will provide, and most of all the humanitarian benefits, but it's always the politics of these things isn't it!!

Do Woodside and Australia truly care about the poverty in TL, or is it because of the veiled threat of Horta and the China card ..

If this goes ahead then TL is no longer cup in hand to anyone, and does that sit well ..

Is good to thrash these things out sometimes, gives different views and perspectives :-)

I totally agree with all that you say Passiton

As much as it all makes logical sense, for TL and for the PPL, to finally put poverty and uncertainty behind them.

The only one concern that I have is that rather than take the resource out they manage to secure international support on imports.

Do you think this is still a possible in the short-mid term ?

The current lack of volume says it all really doesn't it Passiton !

It is clearly evident that without firm news this will not move back towards 0.0028 / 0.0035 anytime soon !!

Even the Twitter brigade and their factual posts (FB and LinkedIn) are having no effect !!

Perhaps due to previous failed attempts and the ongoing politics it's only a share for the brave or for those who are not risk adverse lol
