I think Premier have a good record of getting to production quickly so timescales I expect to be much shorter, especially as we are near infrastructure to support production.

Wow, that article contains some interesting numbers of potential valuation if the conventional is a success. Re HRZ this paragraph caught my eye:

"It’s important to note that the farm-out does not include the unconventional HRZ shale play – that 0.8-2 billion barrel prospective resource is still with 88E. The HRZ will also be logged and sidewall cores taken in the full carry well with PMO – so that is a bit of a bonus to 88E as well."

In summary we have huge acreage and we've got Premier to pay to prove its commercial. The free carry upside on this is huge.

PO are putting a toe in the water. Their RNS states that this is an entirely new area for them as they seek to diversify their portfolio. Successful first well could be massive for us as they will want more from us.

Alaska

Premier has signed a Sale and Purchase Agreement with 88 Energy and Burgundy Xploration LLC to farm-in for a 60 per cent interest in Area A of their conventional Project Icewine acreage in the proven Alaska North Slope basin. This acreage lies close to the Trans-Alaska Pipeline and the Dalton Highway. The transaction provides Premier with a cost effective entry point into an emerging play, following recent advances in drilling and completion techniques, within a proven oil province and one which has the potential to deliver significant organic growth opportunities for the Group.

Even if products, warranties and delivery are similar I'm not convinced about the paragraphs regarding the competition watchdog. The Asda/Sainsbury merger would have resulted in them having 33% of the grocery market, Simba and Eve combined only have about 3% of the mattress market according to the writer himself.
