I am correct in my assumption that qualification for a 'special' dividend is when the RNS lands saying we have sold x&y and EGM called and circular issued? Is that your view?
If so the record date would be close of business that day if after hours or previous day if at 07:00 and means you are either in or out, no chance to buy in after the event.

I do wonder about that on loan number - seems to me as about as reliable as the buy/sell reporting algo on here. Finger in the air comes to mind.

This is the one delayed from yesterday. All 3 trades may appear at the same time or spread over a day or the next. Key is there are 3 parts.
Where the price is in the spread determines whether opening or closing short and also the SP movement straight after.
If price is nearer the Bid it is a short closing and nearer the ask opening. Opposite to what you may think when they are reported.

The site and number you refer to is total on loan and doesn’t differentiate between long and short cfd’s. I would say the majority of the c13m on loan are actually longs

Would ex dividend day be the day prior to RNS of EGM or Day prior to EGM?
EGM to potential Div pay out if voted through - 1, 2 months?
