Great to see lots of buying today. I think we need to be a little cautious about the profit forecast for 2016. In the first half year, which includes high season, 100% of the business made a net profit of EUR 1.8m. Even though CPO prices have risen since then, I can't see us getting to £5.6m profit in 2016, as H2 volumes are lower than H1 volumes due to the seasonality of the business. Despite this, I am confident about 2017, and this remains my largest shareholding by far.
Well done Rugs, you got a good price there. I see buyers having to pay 200 not long after your purchase.
FK1, I agree this could perform very well this year. I bought another 1,500 this morning.
Today's RNS shows confidence of major shareholders to fund the growth of this business.
Just bought a few more this morning. Although Ask is shown as 4.50, still able to buy at 3.99.
Slightly dIsappointing Q3 production figures, down from last year and Q2.
Skid - not sure what the next catalyst will be here, but they have built up a large chunk of cash on the balance sheet. What they do with this may trigger further movement on the share price. There will proably be close to £20 million in cash by the end of the year, on a company with a market cap of only £52 million, which leaves a very low valuation of the underlying business.
Rugs - Good call on the SP reaching 30p
No trades here for a few days. Not really surprising, with a nearly 12% spread. I would be tempted to top up here, but don't want to see a large immediate loss showing on my portfolio. Come on MMs, reduce the spread and give us a reason to trade here
After a vote, such as Brexit, it can never be a good idea to continue to kick your opponents after the event. Here we have a trading statement that accuses the Remain camp of dishonesty, without acknowledging the dishonesty of the Leave campaign. Whichever side of the debate you are on, this seems distasteful and petty. The company should remember that 48% of the voters do not agree with thie views expressed and may well vote with their feet. If he wants to be a politician, then he should seek office in the normal way, otherwise he should shut up and encourage customers of all beliefs into his pubs, in the interest of the company.
Hi FK1, yes, I did check this one out following your interest and postings here. An IPO would surely result in a decent uplift here, but even without that I see this as a long term steady growth stock. Also bought a few shares in Miton this morning after the drop last week. Nothing quite compares with DKL though, my largest holding. Took a look at CHOC but struggled to understand the funding implications there -may get in there later though, after a bit more research.
Been following this for a little while and have dipped in today for the first time at 48p. Seems like one to tuck away but I can see real potential here.
Maybe there aren't as many sells as it appears. My 11.55am buy of 4,350 shares @ 68.075p is showing as a sell.
I agree, but the largest trades are buys. I've taken the opportunity to top up here. This has been my best performing share - steady upward progress, with more to come, I'm sure. Sales up and growing, margins improving significantly, earnings-enhancing acquisition due soon, strong management team, great cashflow - what's not to like.
Does anyone know any specific reason for the 50p increase in share price over recent weeks. It's great to see, particularly against a background of a falling market.
