Quite a few paragraphs where you need a deep breath to finish reading them. Think someone forgot to put full stops. :-)

This is getting beyond a joke, three months since last important update, and that was only because it was leaked out.

Before that it was December. What the heck is Duffin doing, where are the interviews, communication, anything?

What does this mean, further down the page regarding this piece...interesting if true.

Note the ENI and Qatar Petroleum, is this common knowledge?

Looks like there needs to be good relationships between the Spanish and Morocco on this. Geo-politics, may come into play if the "discovery" eventually streches into Canary Island waters.

"The President of the Canary Islands Government, Ángel Víctor Torres, stated today (Wednesday), that he and his government "categorically" rejects prospecting in the Canary Islands, saying that the surveys have been authorized in Moroccan waters, not Canarian water, and are permits, in some cases from several years ago."

Totally agree. Europe/EU should put pressure on the Irish and recognize that there is potentially a bonanza of gas on their doorstep, which could help not only Ireland but the rest of the EU.

Forcing their hand is the only way

Said before in a message, this ain't going to budge on the Irish side. The greens would rather bring down the government than do something they are totally against, even it it is in the national interest of Ireland.

Your probably looking at 2024-2025 at the next Irish elections to see if anything substanial happens.

Interesting to note in that titbit however, that the European greens are slowly coming round, just not Ryan.

The greens have the rest of the irish government by the gonads, their number one spot was probably the position of Minister for the Environment, Climate and Communications and Minister for Transport.

Now they they can threaten to bring the government down, if they agenda isn't met.
As you say minimil, "they do not care about Irish energy issues". Prices for oil/gas are ramping up in Ireland, but these won't budge an inch.

We won't see any movement until either this govenment ends, or the EU insists that Ireland explore and exploit their natural resources, due to the now and present energy crisis. The Greens won't do it themselves or the government while sitting.
