Nothing wrong in top slicing . I had a very big holding , so made sense to top slice back end of 2020 when it hit 30p + until I sold out all by end of Jan 2021.

Bought into ftse divi paying stocks and then been buying back with the Divi’s.

All I say is read the BB’s but make your own decision when to sell .

I’m still holding all of mine now till haverion come online ….but I can afford to . Everyone has their own goal …don’t compare yours to others!

My average was 1.6p - old money . Looking back I bought 8 million under 1p - cheapest million I bought cost me £5700- ie 0.57p . The good old high risk days !
