You a waste of my time - Linkop. Good bye.
linkop - I am not an accountant but I use an accountant for my tax affairs and they say don't day trade in your share dealing account as fees and taxes will make it not worth it. Think of share dealing as a vehicle to invest long term with the view of getting into dividend-paying stocks. I get paid over £25-40k a year just on dividends...
Spread betting is what you are looking for.
It also depends on the frequency/duration of trades; Best to keep positions for several months in a share dealing account. If you want to buy and sell regularly, then go CFD, and there is no tax, but there is more risk etc.
If your only tool is a hammer, you'll think everything is a nail.
Sold all at 30.75p and bought back at 27.60p
Silly, that's a taxable event so you made a loss
Me too, it's stupid not to buy at discounted prices
77blackbridge - getting out at the bottom is always a good idea
It finished at 2 AM in the morning lol so not many people can handle that. Cinema was packed before though, the most people I have seen at the cinema ever, it was jammed
I went last night to watch Batman at the 23:00 show, it was almost half full. I recon profits are going to be strong and take everyone by surprise
Agreed, I just brought more :)
Agreed, hence why 90% on this board are not making money; their emotions are not in check. Sometimes the market is wrong; the key is identifying that and exploiting it. Right now the market is wrong on CINE.
The MM needs our shares, so the best thing we can do is buy more, not sell. That will create a huge short squeeze soon. I am moving £10k into my account now... every bit adds up
Confidence is back, I was in London over the weekend dining, and the only people wearing masks were the tourists from Asia like they normally do. The restaurant had easy 200+ people, not one person was wearing a mask, the same thing with the tubes, 10% may be wearing a mask. Do with this information as you see fit.
"our drop is more linked to the oil price than anything specific to Cineworld"
Yes, you are right. To run each cinema, it uses lots of barrels of oil, plus all the popcorn etc is in the oil
I have topped up today, crazy not to at these prices with covid gone etc
"Who honestly cared if Ukraine ever joined Nato ? only european politicians most Ukrainians did not give a dam if you asked them . ."
You would be AliveandKicking, and dragged onto a military plane about now to go and fight. So yes, we do care, and Ukraine has been used as cannon fodder here
" If BP 'dispose' of Rosneft stake in the current situation," - agreed hence why this company is a bad one to hold long term as management clearly are not smart - they thinking with their emotions, Rosneft should have been discussed behind closed doors but instead they jumped on some popular political witch hunt against Russia.
I have BP shares, but I'll offload them in the next few months but that depends on multiple factors. I would rather move that money into Shell which has a competent, less woke management and would be a better oil major to invest my money, knowing that it's run by smart, intelligent people who will not react to every TikTok video.
Agreed, BP is now a woke company and this kind of company never makes money - soon all profits will be donated to some wildlife program. They trying to appease people not even invested in it.
BP is being used as a political tool - they should have said "No Borris, no"
