keyap - have just looked back through emails. It was end October 2017 when I sent the money to the bank that Stuart advised. It was some sort of system to enable people like me that had seemingly lost any track of their shares to get them issued through a sponsor. I think it was only for a limited time though. You would really have to ask Stuart about this. Hope this helps. Stuart was very helpful to me.
Hi keyap - I got my digitised share certificates for all 3 companies around end November 2017. We had moved to live in Spain at the time. My selftrade shares had just been wiped off their system altogether. I contacted Stuart and asked what I could do. He suggested the digitised ones. They cost I believe £57 per company. I had to send the payment to a bank in Australia. I'll try and find the emails that I had from him about the procedure. I received the certificates ok and am hoping that when/if we list, I will be able to lodge these with Harvey Lansdown who I am now dealing with after closing the Selftrade account. I was worried not only about the Selftrade attitude to CICC shares but also because we had left Uk.
Forgot to say that was when we were in Spain for 15 months.
Same here macnai in that I paid and got the digitised share certificates via Stuart as Selftrade had removed my CICC shares altogether. I am now with HL so hoping that there won't be any problems once we have listed. Re Barclaycard, my husband's account was closed due to not having a Uk address but mine was left open even though we both have the same address. Discrimination? lol. Very odd. Now that we are back in Uk no problem anyway.
macnai - Wow. I'm not an accountant but I am very encouraged with the details to date. Roll on our listing and thank you for sharing.
Thanks macnai. Hopefully not too long now. It would be nice if we listed before year end.
Yes, I was also hoping to change our 15 year old car with MTR proceeds! Still, I am optimistic that we are now on the road to recovery, fingers crossed.
Good morning Keith - my husband Dudley born & bred but left 55 years ago to join up. Now in East Midlands.
macnai - thanks very much. Looking promising and hopefully not too long now.
goldminer - you have my sympathy. It's not always easy trying to explain to one's partner about these sort of things. Luckily I didn't have too much in MYSQ unlike some investors. However, there have been a few awkward moments with my husband over other shares that I have (or have had) which have failed miserably.
Excellent
Hi TheEventHorizon
Yes, the whole situation has been very unsatisfactory. I really don't know if we have much hope of ever getting anything back but it seems that at least the company is still running. Good luck to us all.
TheEventHorizon - That is what Selftrade have done with a couple of my shares that have been delisted. However, with these I did receive a paper certificate and hadn't even asked for one. Quite surprised as I never had much faith in Selftrade.
Jez - this certainly doesn't sound fair. As I said previously I received a share certificate, never having asked for one, from Computershare via my broker Selftrade. It seems to me that it is your broker that is at fault?
JTF - this isn't advice as such but just to say that I didn't ask for the certificate as I didn't realise that there had been any deadline. It just arrived, as I said earlier, from Computershare but sent by my broker, Selftrade. Hope that you have some luck with IG.
Hi to all MYSQ shareholders. I haven't been watching this forum for quite a while as I had more or less written this off, sad as that is. I did receive a share certificate for my shares from Computershare via Selftrade. Reading through the previous posts, maybe we have a tiny bit of hope for the future. At least the company seems to be trading at a low level. Good luck to us all.
I was with Selftrade and some time in 2017 (I think) they said that they couldn't hold CICC shares any longer. I contacted Stuart about it and in October 2017 I received 3 digital share certificates for which I paid around £170. I have now opened an account with Hargreaves Lansdown as I believe that I will be able to trade the shares with them. However, I am not sure at the moment how I have to go about it with the digital share certificates. I have emailed Stuart and am awaiting a response.
Hi macnai - I also have the digital share certificates but hadn't realised that there had been a consolidation. I have just emailed Stuart to ask if he knows what the procedure is for getting the digital share certificates processed by Hargreaves Lansdown who I have opened an account with. I'll let you know if I hear back from him.
Yes, see my post of 18th April. I am with Selftrade and received a hard copy of my share certificate that morning unexpectedly at no cost. Not sure if there will ever be any financial worth to it!
This morning I have received in the mail a share certificate from Computershare for my shares in MYSQ. Has anyone else received this same communication? I'm not holding my breath for any financial improvement on the current zero.
I checked on my Selftrade account and MYSQ has been removed.
