Cobus Loots, CEO of Pan African Resources, on delivering sector-leading returns for shareholders. Watch the video here.
Up 60% plus on less than 0.5% of share capital should speek volumes
some of us have been pulling our hair out for years with this share. A drug tat works for COPD,Asthma and CF is worth an awful awful lot of money. In the event it is a success our shareholder structure will prevent an early management dump and run I believe.
Jeremy had been waiting for an opportunity to turn the clock back and introduce and create a Marxist state. Momentum gave him its backing and flooded the party membership with 3 quid activists "creating the latest movement in Europe" As always is the case they could not see that the increased racism and support for terrorism was as abhorrent to the grass roots as it was to everyone else. They too their own electorate in the North and Midland for mugs and paid the price. As Tone now says the party has been desired from within and now no longer represents the values of its historical voter base. As I said before the crop of JC's would be successors will do nothing to rehabilitate labour and change its direction. On current form they are finished. For Lloy shareholders this has to be good news as we don't have at the prospect of party members getting them selves onto the Board. the election result was a victory for common sense.
You only have to take a look at the runners and riders for the leadership of the party. They simply don't get it or they cannot stand without be endorsed by Lansman. On this basis Labour ver destined to go the same way as the Libdems, It is not without precedent we have been here before with the social democrats. happy days for Boris.
PSN got a kicking on the radio yesterday for shoddy builds and inadequate fire protection. Possible contageon across the sector may have had an impact on others following the sharp run up post election result/
there is a deal on the table as you well know. All Boris has done is give notice that the foot dragging by the EU is over. Merkel does not want a no deal and nor does Macron. Barnier and co have done what they could to try and undermine the democratic process in this country and but by the Grace of God may have had a Marxist Government nationalising EU owned companies and assets. The EU played a dirty game from the start but after almost 4 years they have lost and we are leaving on 31st. Boris has a clear mandate so they had better start talking.
I think you can blame Carney and his muppets at the BOE for a lot of yesterdays price decline with their increasingly absurd "armageddon scenarios" aka annual stress tests. Comparatively our banks are way over capitalised compared to many of its peers and there is little doubt in my mind that our sector has been held back by the BOE and FCA obsession with events of over a decade ago and need to continue meeting out "punishment". A new broom will be most welcome, I hope they Govt picks wisely.
The SNP's hatred of everything Tory smacks of hard left ideology. A cursory glance of those bussed in for Nicola's public engagements is all you need to see. An independent Scotland will face decades of real austerity maybe even hardship inured to meet the EU entry criteria of debt to GDP alone. It will need its own currency prior to joining the Euro, and it will need its own independent central bank . I have no idea what its credit rating will be but on current form it will probably be well be low Greece. This of course will affect the rate it can borrow money and fund its current long term debt. They will probably think that the rest of the UK will assume its debt and let it sit off towards Europe. With a large majority in the HoC probably for the next decade or more, I think they whistling in the wind. We all know Nicola is desperate because the Inderef card is the last she can play. The last decade of self rule has been a disaster, despite getting 50% more per head in funding per head then we get in the UK under the Barnet formula. The Salmond trial will lay bare the inner workings of the SNP and all of Scotland will be in a position to judge if this is what they would like to stay signed up to. LLOY will still be looking to move its HQ and many other financial institutions are probably looking to do the same. It will be immense irritating to have to listen to the incessant whingeing of the SNP in the HoC but as far as Boris is concerned he'd be right to ignore them and hold them to their "once in a lifetime" commitment.
We should not be surprised by the EU's attitude. They have sought to keep us in by dragging their heels and propping up the prominent Remain campaigners such as Blair and the MSM triggering an election in the hope of getting a pro Remain coalition in power. The fact that it might have resulted in an anti EU marxist regime will not have been lost on the EU's core ,members and relief at the outcome was palpable. Now we have a Government with a clear mandate Barnier will be held directly accountable for any damage his intransigence causes to the German economy. At †he end of the day we all know that most of the "issues" are not issues at all and should never have been used as politically motivated efforts to derail our departure. Simply they are after our fish and our farmers.
Its over! move on
A we have seen over the last few days those that are now in control of the "largest movement in Europe" (with 500000 members) will not abandon the "Project". They will change runners and riders but the bigotry and intolerance will remain. the conservatives have a good enough majority to do whatever they want to do, so will likely do what they ca to squeeze shay life is left out of this unpleasant and unnecessary cult. Hopefully in time a more moderate Labour party will emerge to provide a sensible opposition which will be good for all. This however will take at least 10 years if Boris does what he is setting out. Te people have voted for the hope and sunny uplands the conservative manifesto laid out and the dark, sinister, racist, state control espoused by the London centric communists. The share price recovery we have seen so far is palpable relief that the nation chose optimism and equal opportunity over mob rule. Boris knows everyone is watching and looking at his administration to deliver now it has been given the biggest mandate since the Thatcher era. Lloy after years on the rack will be a big big beneficiary of a more prosperous free trading Britain.
not sure why point you are making. Lloy will continue to push higher if investor confidence continues to build and the Labour party as an alternative continues to self destruct. . For many the jury is still out on what the UK economic prospects are going to look like over the next couple of years. As some of the issues are global many will opt to wait and see rather than take the plunge, rightly or wrongly. This is big heavily traded FTSE proxy so progress upwards will be more measured than any decline as in that instance "investors" all tend to run for the exit at the same time.
indeed! The trial will be very dirty and very bad for the SNP, its whole leadership and its bullying left wing culture. I think the SNP will be holed below the waterline and the whole question of suitability will become an issue for the majority of thinking Scots which comprises more than half of the population and which have been sitting on the fence. She has taken no prisoners on the way up and I feel she won't be given any grace on the way down. I am not a vindictive individual but she deserves what is coming to her, and hopefully it will a big positive for Scotland.
its truly frightening how Momentum are pouring their vitriolic message out on social media. Expect many are bot trolls but even so the organisation behind it seems professional. I hope the conservatives are a match and haven't neglected outlets such as Twitter this time around. I hope common sense will prevail. If not then I think we will have another election within a few months. In all this and even now the EU still seems to be meddling in our democratic process. Scary times we live in.
large number of shares so very liquid. Although not the largest market cap maybe it is one of the largest and tends to move very much along domestic market sentiment lines as we as with the FTSE in general.Hence many high frequency funds trade it for fractions of a penny, large number os short term funds do like wise with many using leveraged trades over a typical trading day. You will see some real volume tomorrow?
