Roundtable Discussion; The Future of Mineral Sands. Watch the video here.
Tom Winnifrith calls himself the 'Sherriff of AIM'. He wrote a piece a while back in the ALO days opining that Mark Jones didn't come across as the kind of miner with no intentions of mining anything. Just goes to show what an expert liar MJ is.
Where did the 2billion figure come from? We've been here before on this forum. The figure is absolute tosh. My understanding is Mozambique will receive no money from UK or anyone else until it's Government come clean on previous missing aid money. It's repeatedly tried to dodge IMF investigations since 2016.
I disagree with your clueless idiot label for MJ. Given the choice of trousering 3grand a week in scorching mozzie infested Botswana or doing sweet FA in UK, it's a no brainer for him. Remember he also temporarily conned both Centamin in Ethiopia and Randgold in Mali. I'd say cynical and plausible liar is a better handle.
My understanding is that Mark Jones is now demoted to Office Tea Boy. It's a shame there's no actual office. The big question is of course, is he still trousering his grotesque salary/consultancy fees? It was £147K according to the last published accounts. That's almost 3 grand a week. How does he spend his day? Grrrrr.
Jimbo, I have the same issue with two sets of Alecto share certificates. My broker is Charles Stanley and they told me to contact the issuer of the certificates. I haven't rushed as I've mentally written off the whole set up as a bunch of fraudsters with no intention of mining anything anywhere.
I would've thought anyone researching a subject and posting a link to reinforce their position, would've spent a couple of minutes dwelling on it's accuracy. Same goes for much of everything else spouted on this BB. That's only my thoughts though.
10 outa 10 for trying Long and Wrong. That's just another bit of dubious African journalism you're quoting. Anyone phoning Liam Fox for confirmation of this unlikely yarn would be laughed at. Ask yourself why the UK press failed to pick up such a massive story?
I just read your last post. Are you really saying two old mates Bellingham and Liam Fox got together and Fox was persuaded to pledge 2billion quid to Mozambique? 2 billion is roughly 5% of UK total defence spending! If we treat the other 53 African nations the same we're starting to get close to our NHS budget. I thought Mozambique wasn't receiving any aid at all because they forgot to mention to to the IMF a massive debt in 2016. I could be wrong of course.
If the BoD feel they're working so hard, why have they meekly accepted half salary? Also strong companies have no need to have their stooge defend the indefensible on BBs. Could the BoD be worried the gravy train is disappearing? Yes. Richard Jennings is livid with these greedy and lazy people. So am I.
Thank you and LordAdam and Londoner7 for those insightful replies. Yes I'm aware of the ISA limits and I do hold a largish holding in GFRD, built up over the years when I was working, and simply re-invested the divis. These days that divi forms a useful supplement to my pension. ( I was with Equitable Life but that's a different story) Clearly a need to transfer GFRD shares from the trading account the full 20k ISA limit to assist with tax on Income and future CGT. I never heard of 'in species' transfer. Previously I've asked the broker to 'bed and Isa'. Is it the same thing?
I thought I'd stick mine in my ISA for the coming year. I've got 3745 rights currently sitting in my normal trading account. I make that 21,271 to convert. I can make 20,000 new cash available in my ISA account plus sell some existing ISA holdings to make up to the extra 1271. What's the most economical way to do this?
