I'm out!
I read that this morning -- what was Lamb thinking?
Although this gives me a good profit on my shares I'd rather they turn down the offer it's nowhere near enough money -- where I'm I going to find this type of stock again ? -- I want £3 a share for this to compensate me for losing such a nice dividend payer. GRRRrrrr!
Took profit ( and a divi ) though so happy for now.
Knew when it dipped below 2450 we'd get a bit of a pull back here so waiting for a better chart/price now.
!
Again here -- chart showing some signs of a recovery
I tend to find patterns can be misleading apart from a few exceptions -- a head and shoulders ( but it has to be very clear ) and I've seen a flag and flag pole work to dramatic effect.
Sometimes there are patterns that are peculiar to one particular share -- you start to recognise the price action of a share after following it for a few years but again it can mislead if it's too vague.
Shaping up nicely. Just at first glance. Really have to get my as in gear and give this some thought.
When this moves it moves real fast. Might do a retest of that 57p area. ( shares like this often do then form a base or break through to a lower level -- hope not especially for Jack) . I won't be in for that 57p until it's a bit clearer where it's going.
Velo -- you'll get that 20 -- 23p cos that was support for such a long time - I used to trade it around there and did OK -- but I wished I'd held on to the shares I bought at around 12p ( documented in a post of mine somewhere on here ) doubled my money but had no idea they'd go anywhere near £1.70 just set out my goal to sell around 24p
The reason I don't think it will get down there is that there has been a step change in the value of the company since those days and the 50's was where this share was even before the 24p days when there was much less demand for the product. The price action chart let's you know there's something going on long before news gets out and interpretation needs a mix of imagination, technical charting, fundamentals and common sense. Sometimes I've predicted lows purely on chart but it didn't happen cos something had changed fundamentally and it cost me ( I got out of a short and warned a friend to do the same but he held -- it finished him with shares) but it taught me not to ignore a clear Breakout.
