George Frangeskides, Chairman at ALBA, explains why the Pilbara Lithium option ‘was too good to miss’. Watch the video here.
Morning gents! I do firmly believe the divi is something that will happen, probably a decision in September with a payment when Full year 2020 trading results are out, I think 2020 results will be OK, the company will sell this as great progress albeit slower progress than other sector players ( eqiv to going backwards) nevertheless we will be profitable with sound fundamentals as Toby plays his long game , that will continue to be our frustration. Huckster
One question I would like to ask Toby.............I know he makes the points he wants to make in the various updates, he states the case very simply, no song and dance for eg the divi will be a board matter in September not really much point saying you want it earlier. What he has said several times is that the II's are invested here for the long term, unusually he has repeated this several times, my question is what exactly does that mean? how long is long term, most of us have already been here long term, does it mean the end of the 5 year plan in December 2021? or when nothing much materializes then does long term stretch for another x number of years? whats the plan?
To be fair to Toby he said the board would re-visit the dividend in September, Toby is a lot of things but he is straight and I believe he will do as he says. 2020 will be a sound trading and profit year with no frills given H2 is so much more active than H1, but for me this will only hold the sp where it is, perhaps a little uplift on announcement of a defacto dividend. in terms of a 10 p plus sp that is a long way off, our Dums would be much better off folded in with others.
mmm.... no surprises either way, it is pretty much exactly what we thought was coming, organic growth is no way forward it will be way too slow, this company needs to be sold before it starts going backwards, if that happens there will never be any way out our for us PI's .
SB...that would be great,
Well yes Scotty that makes sense, perhaps they don't realize many of us have invested a lot here and we are keenly interested in what is happening, we need to just ask the question if nothing on Monday.
Points well made .......in the light of our general circumstances an update is necessary. When asked for more communication with us PI's Toby was slightly indignant and strongly asserted we always had a quarterly update on how things were going, he was right although the info was sketchy and lacked sufficient detail to give us clarity so we asked for more clarity which he seemed happy to take on board. No quarterly update would be both surprising and disappointing, I would, like SB be surprised if we didn't get an RNS next week. If we have nothing by August 3rd we PI's can always do a little bit of our own comms! it is a question that needs asking..................Huckster
Bakky.....I remember when I was 'snot gobbler' (new boy) in the printing industry in the 70's I started at a big London printer and was asked to go to a specific person in the comps department and ask for a long weight. Well I sat there for an hours or so, eventually this guy said now you have had your long wait...bugger off you are making the place look untidy, maybe Toby is doing the same, I think we will hear in July but don't bet against it being the 31st having said all that I think we have a pretty good idea of what is going to be said. (clearly we are being acquired for 20p a share) you gotta laugh sometimes.
Thank you for this SS, some useful clarity on what this update will look like, not going to ground breaking but pretty steady (the company and our investment is stable)
it leaves us still reasonably attractive as an acquisition. I am not expecting anything but the bare minimum information. I really think we have caught just the edge of the upturn in registrations since March 2020, maybe more to come in H2.....Huckster
This Ad keeps popping up on my phone, why can't we have a presence like this? we are not a secret society.

I see Dishi Rishi (as his staff call him) is thinking of taxing capital gains as a way of paying for the pandemic, a hit on the capital gains of homeowners and investors, his joy in that regard with mmx may be somewhat limited! or will we need to share our divi ?
RNS with results on Friday i hope
mmm......I am a smart arse, I have done both, invested in a profitable company that no-one knows is successful and averaged down. Quite cleverly I have invested here for seven years, not had a single penny out of my investment and the shareprice I invested at was nearly 11p it is now about half that price, so I am about the average price of a freehold house in this country down at the moment, how clever is that......surprisingly I am hoping for better plus a dividend.
Well that's a first for me, we have 2 in the first 4 fastest growing gTLDs over the last 7 days on namestats.org! vip being top, fantastic but nothing to spend in John Lewis................. Huckster
SS, Yes COVID has definitely progressed the need for business' to have an on-line presence and diminished the act of physical shopping, fingers crossed our properties reflect this, not really much more we can say, just need the results now, I think they will be positive (to exactly what degree I can't say) but this will lead into H2 which is generally the better half of our year. Hopefully this will take our sp back towards levels that are commensurate with our operational success and fundamentals.
A reasonable sector appraisal that hopefully resonates with mmx.

SS, yes OK i am more than happy to both respect and want to see that view unfold in H2 together with a 0.13p dividend.
Well I agree that a few of our names have done quite well, clearly due to COVID, so that's a plus but looking at our current dums at 2,436,000 that number does not seem to represent any real increase on dums at January 1st 2020. It is the price of our new sales against our deletes that will dictate revenue levels, plus whatever adultblock has done. Hopefully we have done as well as Radix and all this will translate as a good robust performance.
OK Silv......I don't think the numbers will be up much at all, it's going to be the quality of the H1 sales against the quality of the H1 deletes, as I say, that may not be all bad news. H2, where we are now may be a different picture as historically it has been. I have got my jam pot out, polished and ready, but I see it's well past it's sell by date!
Woops I meant 5 year plan, Freudian slip!
