Swak,
Are you by any chance "Bonanza Barry"?
Really wouldn't surprise me one bit!
Paul,
Your original question is not 100% clear but basically you can ONLY deposit £20,000 into a stocks & shares ISA in any 1 financial year.
You don't have to pay in £20,000 in 1 hit, you can pay it in over the course of the financial year but £20,000 is the maximum you can deposit.
You can trade to your hearts content BUT if you withdraw money from that ISA you cannot pay it back in until the following financial year when you will get another £20,000 allowance.
You could (if you're lucky) trade (buy & sell) that original deposit within the ISA into say £1,000,000 or more and it would be protected from any capital gains tax.
ALL dividend payments received on shares held within an ISA would also be free from tax.
Hope this helps.
Roger,
What is the point of posting doom & gloom every day,
There's nothing really to discuss,
There's no news, no RNS, no tweets,
All we can do is sit back and wait, all you're doing is winding yourself up, chill.
That is unless you've got a motive!
Goodies,
"They refuse to build the energy intensive indoor farms needed to produce tomatoes and tropical fruits all the year around"
That's not really the case, if supermarkets aren't prepared to pay more than 50p for a cucumber and with the High energy costs means you make little or no profit why would you grow that crop?
You might as well grow something which doesn't need the high temps.
Lok,
Read what you've posted again, the lack of certain fruit & vegetables is NOT the result of BREXIT.
Watch the attached video from approx the 9 min mark,
Basically growers were offered no government help with the higher heating costs needed to grow the likes of tomatoes and cucumbers here and the major supermarket's were NOT prepared to pay higher prices, resulting in the growers NOT planting these crops.
If you want to blame anyone it's the result of sanctions on Russia pushing up energy costs.

Gazzleberry,
I'm with you here, when there's the likes of BHP Group why have savings accounts?
I hold a smallish amount of cash but with online trading accounts allowing you to buy, sell and remove cash in minutes why have savings?
The important part is buying a diverse blue chip portfolio, companies like BHP, BP etc, but buying them whilst there cheap and sitting back and collect the dividends.
Also if you buy in your ISA's there's no tax to worry about.
It doesn't always work out though,
I am underwater on my holding here! (But I did buy them for the income!)
Shabz,
I still have holdings outside of my ISA's but each year now I make sure I sell some down and move that money into the new year's entitlement.
pint,
Buy in an ISA,
You can buy £20,000 worth of shares in an ISA each year.
All profits and dividends are tax free!
Tried catching up with today's news but the board is getting unreadable again!
Hardup,
Yes, but they are still amongst the best payers.
And with the world going "green" and insufficient materials to meet demand I suspect the days of the really big payments will soon return.
Lti,
I'm still holding the previous spin out of South32 which is nice.
Have sold the Woodside though!
Lti,
Are you about this evening?
BHP, 75p per share divi!
90c a share divi, equats to 75p!
Sorry non Lloyds content but it lasts 42 seconds and it is worth watching by everyone especially our Scottish friends!

Lovely,
Like you I'm not sure how in depth it'll be,
He wasn't/isn't invested and he has posted slightly negative posts in the past, which is fine if feedback why is added.
We will see!
Fandabbydozy!
Have noticed that Paul is particularly quiet at the moment, even on twitter?
Makes me think something is brewing but only time will tell if its positive or negative!
Gazzleberry,
"only white players who can prove their ancestry through 27 generations can play for Scotland"
Don't you mean ginger? ;-)
Legal,
I totally get where you're coming from but let's sample & drill that central zone and "IF" high grade gold is confirmed, and it has been confirmed each end then there's got to be a good chance of it being spread along its length.
Assuming that is the case you would then think a potential tier 1 shallow/open pit deposit in friendly country WILL attract the interest of the majors, and if a JV is formed they can pay the hundreds of thousands in drilling costs to prove it up.
Yes it's more waiting but hopefully we'll get something positive from Molopo in the meantime.
bertram,
I'm not going to get involved in a discussion which has nothing to do with banking but what I would say is since WW2 the U.S has meddled in the affairs of more countries and killed more people than Russia!
