How on earth is this under 17p today after that article. I’ve just grabbed some more.
I can see early 20’s very rapidly now and bring on the buybacks which are very imminent judging from the comms from IR.
This market cap is crazy for what this business has, I work in the automotive industry (corporate leasing sector) and 45% of all our service booking and maintenance bookings goes through Halfords.
Redde tables at 1.4 billion pound bid which the Halfords board said significantly undervalued their company.
I’ve taken a sizeable holding alongside Enquest.
This is a keeper and if/when a bid arrives it’s happy days.
At long last we are starting to see an uplift. We should at 30p but a move into the low 20’s will be very pleasing to a great deal of holders me included.
A 15.5p finish would be nice today.
With the announced buybacks the volatility is back. Many of us are 2-10p underwater per share.
I’m going to get back trading it to get my 3p back per share. Each 1p swing is the equivalent to 2.7k.
Thursday’s action told me everything after another game changer of an rns, only for the sp to be thrown back to zero.
Great analysis and I take my hat off.
As I have said before AB is a magician and knows exactly how to work the figures to his advantage and how to spin it in the media.
The EPL should never have included us in the first place. Labour will be in power this year after the shear incompetence of the tories over the last 14 years.
However the kamikaze strategies such as he removal of the investment allowance will lead to large scale energy security and a massive number of job losses.
Ed and Jeremy need to realise quick smart that they need the energy companies to lead the transition and if you keep pushing one day they will all be gone.
Excellent posts all frac you are very right to state that 425,000 shares a day on average would need to be purchased. Some days the volume is very low and this will lead to 5% swings daily. Like you say if it’s a weekly purchase it wil need to be over 2 million.
Stevo you do add some excellent points but I do not for one second believe that we have to pay 50 million in tax on the sale.
The reason the sp dipped from the highs was the telegraph article. AB knows just how to massage the financials with windfall tax and also how to spin it with the media.
The RNS yesterday was absolutely first class and value will out in the coming weeks. I am going to trade some now as I only need 3.3p to break even with all my averaging down.
Many say 15 million dollars of buybacks was a small amount, given the fact the market cap is 260 million I think that is a nice amount for starters.
Krakenoil it’s unbelievable what more could have AB and his team have done it was a cracking rns and webinar.
A few weekly swing trades might be the best strategy with a portion of our holding with it now being thrown around every day.
And boy do we deserve this rns, am I dreaming buybacks already being rolled out it was supposed to be a plan to announce them.
Struggling to find a negative - welcome to the stage Stevo …….
So pleased for us all and especially Krakenoil & Jan.
Let’s push towards 18p over the coming week.
Good luck Jan and all, the merest hint of buy backs or a dividend and this will rocket Tomorrow.
The last update told us everything we needed to know.
All for a balanced view Stevo but this is a very different company to what it was 5-7 years ago and I will say it again 260 million is complete lunacy.
Stevo, just having a two minute scan over Serica and they have assets of 265 million we have assets of 4 billion? Their market cap is nearly three times the size of ours?
When cherry picking always add the full info. Our net debt is down massively from 5 years ago and we are still throwing off free cash flow even with the utter fools in our government chucking g the kitchen sink at us.
270 million is absolute peanuts for what we have.
Blimey January I would always hold some funds back. Enq has colossal potential from here but like any investment it’s always best to never put all your eggs in.
What is your average? I’ve managed to get mine to the mid 16’s which I’m delighted with but I cannot count the number of times I’ve topped up 🫣
Dividends or preferably buybacks will send this into orbit in the near future though - imo.
