In an affidavit in support of an ex parte summons seeking security for costs, Graham Thompson partner John F Minnis said neither environmental group — Waterkeeper Bahamas Limited or Coalition to Protect Clifton Bay — has commercial business operations within The Bahamas or owns any assets within The Bahamas.
***Minnis said he believed neither entity has sufficient assets to satisfy an order to pay BPC’s costs if ordered to do so.***
60 days will be 17th February - and it the slide previously alluded to is correct - the 60 days included demob.
Full analysis, of course, comes later, however, I am sure we will have some hint before those results are made public - even if it is a general yes or no regarding the presence of commercial oil.
My previous comment was aimed at the [post timed 16:07 which read: -
I know everything::::::Fact
Do you know what an ALF is yet - you were asking what it meant yesterday - FACT
In answer to a question posed: -
Sorry but what is ALF????
Need help with this::::FACT
Do you know what an ALF is yet - you were asking what it meant yesterday - FACT
Oh Harry - you have become such a cynic ;@)
It is a bit like the Government of the Bahamas - they do not want oil drilling, however, are very aware that there could 'well' be riches beyond their dreams. That would certainly get them off the IMF hitlist.
We can all regret something - with hindsight - as several posters have already alluded to LO have made their 15% and more with their regretful decision.
Lloyds Insurance perhaps were a little regretful too - ONCE their involvement was made public.
Beware the many ALFs that have joined the ruck to spread the negativity - listen to your own research. Allow the thoughts to conduct your own forensic evidence search to allow you to make an educated choice.
There are lots of folks who have their own agenda and will sucker you in and/or out of your hard-earned investment.
Invest only what you can afford to lose - losing hurts like hell and hindsight is also a killer.
Stay safe in your health and wealth - make your own decisions and enjoy the ride.
My own agenda - to make money by keeping my investment for as long as it takes to do so. I know I may lose it all - but my choice and await the fate with my eyes open. ;@)
LLL another ALF - Jmann was posting whist perhaps you were in your nappies. Had you been here long enough you would know that there is some merit in what other longer-term posters are saying.
I think we will be where we will be!! ;@)
I do not think anyone can call what will happen anymore without any definitive news. I've had a look through the online Bahamian newspapers and nothing new about drilling. Mostly news about Covid.
In the Eluthera news an article about Bahamas Business Outlook 2021 and specifically the SWF, has Mr Minnis quoted "Countries typically look to form a sovereign wealth fund to manage and invest excess cash from royalties and budgetary surpluses. While the Bahamas is not yet at that point in our development, we appreciate that we have valuable land and other natural resource assets.

bynari - I am grateful for the shipping updates which appease my current cynical mind from going completely off track.
When I saw both had been moored for a (what seemed like) long time, especially Clearview, I had begun to think that they were shutting up the drill earlier than we had thought.
The several flights by helicopter to the rig were also intriguing - having no knowledge on the usual regularity of such visits.
I am now though relying on Nathan's words, suggesting a short amount of time before we are updated, to save me from going the way of many on the board.
Stay safe all - all hail Nathan for keeping us guessing!!! ;@)
I, in my deeply suspicious mind, think that a greater force are trying to do BPC over in an attempt to grab the licences and of course the oil, on the cheapest possible terms.
We have the Waterways folks doing their bit, and even the government doing their bit by saying they disagree with oil drilling.
Too many folks sticking their oars in for it not to be a concerted effort to do BPC over.
Hopefully, the legal team will ensure there is enough to 7=uck them all over and we get what we came here for - that being a piece of a super-sized oil field worth many billions of dollars.
The fact we remain drilling is the positive, and seeing both supply vessels are now working again gives me a bit more comfort.
As Nathan mentioned the other day in the presentation approx 1:50:42 in the droning presentation...
there ....not long to go. Shareholders will be updated in the very near future.
For me, it went ahead to update folks that BPC is not the one-trick pony that it has been called so many times.
Had they pulled out of the presentation - with the SP being where it is - I would guess there would be a free for all in the morning due to the negativity that has been emanating due to situation with the activists, the very low SP and the fact that there have been no leaky ship.
As Nathan suggests - a little more patience and we will all be put out of our misery in the very near future. Pointless second and third guessing.
You have all taken your positions - your decision whether to stick, twist or fold. We are all adults and should act accordingly.
Stay safe - ;@)
....not long to go. In the very near future.
He may have been chosen to read the message due to his rather monotone voice in order not to give anything away - OR - he has been kept in solitary confinement (by the looks of his beard) pending reading out the message.
Both Clearview and Blackfoot are now moored - keep an eye on either of them making a move particularly Blackfoot.
As for folk complaining about the 2 hours they will never get back - consider it an extension of the many hours wasted reading some of the dross on here - I am thankful of the filter feature, otherwise I doubt I would be ar5ed to read everything anyway.
stay safe all - not long now - patience required - update in the very near future. ;@)
keith1 - you are quite correct. I am struggling to have the motivation to come on here - so much strife, misery and pi55taking - the odd bit of banter keeps me here.
Too many trolls, gob5hi7es and the likes. Real-world networking is the only way as the verbose will keep schtum for fear of having to get yet another rhinoplasty.
stay safe - have a good one and we will soon know whether SP or a.n. other attend the presentation later today.
boding very well.

Not bonding very well for the Bahamas presently.
Sharescare, your 1716 post - did you miss an S off your post? tic ;@)
I did like this line, which has not been mentioned in the thread,
"The operator of the facility in the licensed area will have to provide prior notice to the department that issued the license of any change of location."
Is this giving the heads up that they are expecting further zones of drilling?
Or am I just reading too much into it?
But why would it be there otherwise?
Following on with that theme - I am watching The man in the high castle - strange concept. I also import my gins, spirits and liqueurs from a friend's distillery in Germany.
I think we can put this one to bed now - irrelevant in the big scheme of things and a distraction - and perhaps not a good one - from where we are with the drill - SIM is still in situ - HOS Blackfoot is en-route to the Bahamas - whether it calls again to Nassau, I do not know. Looks like the SIM only requires servicing by one vessel currently.
The drill should be nearing its finishing depth and then we just need to wait just that little bit longer.
The presentation will come as a welcomed update on Thursday.
Stay safe all ;@)
