FYI I emailed all including bolhassan, and Chris Pitman has replied a few times. He said he is fully focused on getting accounts published and removing the suspension. I felt that if they had no intention he wouldn't have bothered responding. So still hope.

I should add, that perhaps it's just a good gesture to send the happy Christmas e card from Bolhassan and perhaps I should be thankful and not moan about that. It just couldn't be worse timed with what feels like the demise of the company.

I'm stupidly still holding hope as I've done over the past number of years that something comes from this investment no matter how bad its been! Perhaps I'm mad!

Well, unless I'm wrong, today marks the last day of the year.

I had a few emails with Upland a couple of weeks ago, but I didn't report back as both I didn't have the opportunity and also the fact there wasn't any substance to report, or anything I believed.

I emailed three times as usual before I got a reply. Chris Pitman replied and said it is responsibility of Bolhassan to reply to investors.
Bolhassan replied and said Jeremy from Optiva will respond.
After no reply, Chris replied again and to the questions I asked said that when the accounts are published this year it might answer my questions.

Note the above he said this year. Which unless they turn up as intraday, the deadline has passed.

I also note, that Bolhassan sent me an email in reply with a picture (like an e card) wishing me a happy christmas etc.....why would he do that?! I've had little in the way of reply from him but an e card to say happy Christmas, that wipes out the thousands of pounds lost?!

In addition to the loss of £s, I'm now lost for words too......

What a crappy end to a crappy year.

I hope you all have a good new years celebrations, I guess it's time to reflect on what's been a terrible investment for all, and I hope that in 2022 you all find some gems to recoup losses.

Sad state of affairs

The only way is up, right? Wrong! This is the bottom as in its the lowest its been, but I imagine this old girl is done and all that's needed is to roll her down the hill to ground zero.

Before anyone says I'm negative, if you can provide any substance on why I should be optimistic given what we've endured as holders for many years then I'm happy to hear it!

Looked back at a couple of my emails with Bolhassan, going back over the past year, he basically said they are working on Tunisia and sarawak......how much work can you do on something with nothing to update shareholders with? At the moment I'd be happy for an RNS just saying they've been doing some colouring in of bar and pie charts for the past year. I wouldn't even want those charts to tell me anything. Just let us know you're doing something.....

It's nice to see some positive movement on the share price. Even my glass half empty is starting to look better.

Did we ever find out why someone took 35m shares in the company not long ago? From searching I couldn't find anything about the person in question but it does interest me to know!

Let's hope whatever happens we can all firstly see break even and then dare I say it, some profit?!

I think there has been a fair amount of 900k to 1m sells of late, yes there's been buys but not as big. Perhaps I've missed them and just tuned in at the wrong time and seen sells and missed the buys.
I've been here since March 16, think I purchased first tranche around 1.5p ish and bought a fair few tranches after that along the way. I've said before, not a massive holding compared to others but big for me. I wait it out with everyone else. We all want the same result, I guess I'm just a glass half empty sort of guy at the moment!

Seems alot of dumping of late, 1.3m sell just went through, down 10%.

Mikemike, unfortunately the lack of significant development in this company was apparent before covid.

Investor11, I have the same thoughts but the investment is so far gone now I might as well just hold it in case something happens. The nominal I would get back now wouldn't make a difference either way.

I know alot on this board have heard me moan, so apologies to all who have to read it, but I think we all share the same frustrations.

Hello, I emailed too, actually to Bolhassan, Pitman, someone from Tune group, someone from Optiva etc. These are all the contacts Bolhassan copied into his reply to me some months ago (with not alot of information in the body of the email from him might I add).

No reply over a week later. Last time it took me three emails to get any sort of response so I guess I'll have to send a further two before I get anything........

Oh and still holding from 2016, so have not sold any as so under water I'll just hold for whatever happens.

My bad, I took it as negative per my post earlier. I took it as the e&p Co weren't interested in the asset as the exclusivity agreement ended with nothing further from them. If the asset was so attractive surely they would have moved on it?

I say useless, the souauf one had some positivity in it but I mean in relation to them promising results in November on souauf but they didn't materialise.

That's two RNS in two weeks! This is amazing, they've really got a hold of things now. I mean the content was useless or negative and has had a detrimental impact on share price, but two RNS in two weeks, this is unheard of.
I wished not long ago that they would keep the market informed, I guess I got my wish.....just a shame nothing is actually happening that is positive!

Well I sent a few emails to UPL with no response whatsoever. I was not looking for much, just a courtesy reply would have done, but nothing. Two months now since they said they would update on Souauf.

I also read on the advfn bbs. From recent posts it says that Sacha was providing the twitter group (which I am not a part of nor have twitter or wish to be a part of) with answers to questions etc, this stinks, stinks alot. How can they communicate with select few people? I can visit their twitter page without having a twitter account and can't see any answers from UPL so why is it acceptable to only answer to a closed group?
Just seeing what thoughts are. Might fire off an angry couple of emails.... That will undoubtedly be ignored.....

Yes and I'm glad to see others here. I always checked in but of late didn't see any red markers above the posts icon to show new posts.....and I thought perhaps everyone had gone.

Really do hope next year is the transformational year (I've seen 16, 17, 18, 19 and 20 go by) so let's hope 21 brings something for all our sakes...and sanity
