Well said Sheltie. Personally I sold out today for a fat profit, so happy with that. Just need to decide what next....
Hefty profit from 9.3p will do me. I need the cash so happy to lock it in now. Good luck to all those still in - I hope you do well.
Yes - that seems probable now. Next week is going to be stellar I feel. Still a few seats left aboard the departing Flybe service from departure point oversold to destination huge profit.... I’m all in now though - would still be buying if I had any more cash
.... about to blow I think. Shorts closing, sellers finished and outstanding news. Plenty of blue sky above for Flybe to soar into I think
....might not be long with the buying going on.....
The bearded one never played games with his brand. And Virgin won’t start doing so now. SP only heading one way. And it isn’t south. What a delight to see shorters getting cremated in this fashion.... That’s almost as enjoyable as the profit.....
Yep. A few weeks ago many of the longs eg Aberforth capitulated. A case study on how not to do it. The reverse is now coming up with a bonfire of the shorts and a rocketing SP as more details leak out I expect.
Yes - that little expression “one of” is the key part. Now confirmed there are multiple interested parties. Excellent ! Patience now will be well rewarded I think. GLA.
Ha ha - timing is everything !
.....from the company would be welcome. 40% up on the day due to a news story re a takeover involving a major airline and silence from the Board ? I know the current Board aren’t up to much but surely they owe it to the market to clarify their position. Thankfully our potential buyers are much more savvy.
Yes - 14p is proving a sticking point for sure. Perhaps not too surprising as many will be up 30 to 40% overnight, so not unreasonable to lock in some profit. Favourable news would blow it away though, and a surge towards 20p I expect.
I think 14p is a psychological barrier, especially after the flurry and chaos of earlier today. But if 14p goes it could move seriously quickly after that. Just my opinion.
....before lunchtime ?
I think we’ll see more uplift today and then on Monday as shorts close out. Let’s face it - being short now is like standing in front of a train picking up a few pennies. The damage to them isn’t as bad as it might have been so far today, so if I was short I would now exit as quickly, quietly and cheaply as I could. Which should mean more upwards pressure, which is good.
I’m slightly disappointed with the rise thus far given what is at stake and the potential buyer. But value will out soon enough. There is clearly a lot of churn and various vested interests affecting the price, and once that froth blows away we can see how much Virgin are prepared to offer.
Yes - it will be a bunfight to get shares at 8am tomorrow. They’re not getting mine unless it is a serious uplift from 9p....
Virgin have been the first to break cover. But I doubt they will be the last. Flybe have a colossal turnover and the potential to make their shareholders small fortunes if run properly. Those who are feeling sore seem keen to talk down the potential. But with turnover In the region of three quarters of a billion it would only require modest management expertise to put the house in order (and admittedly the current board are useless) so why shouldn’t the endgame here be multiples of the current SP if others come forward ? I think a few here will be in for a shock tomorrow morning. Just wish I had bought more than I did.....
You’re right at least for now. When the SP is 9p or so nobody will offer 60p straight off. But most objective folks I know think the fall from 40p was massively overdone. So allowing some retrace upwards and then a premium for a bid could give a much higher number than some think. And if another bidder shows their hand I don’t think 60p is out of the question on a medium timescale, albeit admittedly not tomorrow. GLA. Tomorrow morning is going to be fun!
Personally I don’t see a multibaggger in the first few minutes. But Virgin’s interest will now flush out any others and the absurd crash in the SP could then be reversed quickly. Surely the co will issue an RNS at 7am given all the media coverage. And then let the games begin ! You almost need to feel sorry for the shorters. But not quite......!
Ha ha - nice one. A few of the shorts might be glad of the work soon......!
