T2K, exactly! If you go off with a virus, why come back after 3 days, you might as well take the 7 days and self certify!
Like I said, these changes to sick pay more than likely won't result in any meaningful savings.
Tate. "Revisions implemented at your expense. Sick pay reduced at your expense. Working longer hours this winter for free. At your expense. Start and finish times moved up to 90 minute as of next year. At your expense?"
How are revisions at my expense? We still have a start and finish time. Adding more to a duty makes no difference.
Sick pay reduced- see my previous post
Working for longer and for free? Up to 30 mins a day, most will be less, we've been told 10 to 15 minutes, it won't be free as next summer I'll still be being paid whilst sat a home. In all honesty this is where the flexi hours will fail. Managers will beforced into offering o/t in quiet periods and no one wants to work longer outdoors in the winter!
Next year's changes effects most those offices served by mail centres who rely on aeroplanes. The removal of them has a knock on effect to arrivals at DO's. Only 3 mail centres, Plymouth,Aberdeen and Inverness are effected. The vast majority will have minimal changes unless RM does away with all the DPR's and LAT's duties that they have just spent a fortune on in the latest revisions.
Tate, once again you've shown to everyone you know very little on how this business runs at the coal face.
Like many of my colleagues on here I've seen many many changes brought in over the years, some good, some bad, some incredibly stupid.
Time will tell which of the three it will be!
Sick pay will only be reduced for the 2nd period of absence. The first period of absence remains unchanged. The supposedly lazy, malingering, militant postie who allegedly takes advantage of sick pay remains unaffected.
I'm not sure this erosion of the t&c's is going to result in the savings RM have led shareholders to believe they will!
Tate, you would of thought that if posties wanted an easier life they would campaign against the USO now. Most on deliveries would then work Mon-Fri and with the reduction in FTE's that have already taken place and not having to use agency, then there would be few,if any job losses! After all most deliveries are only going out 5 days a week now and who really cares about the quality of service and our customers???
Tate, "not because they care about it in anyway but because it’s their passport to an easy life. Like I said yesterday, you’re desperate to avoid work."
How does caring about the USO = an easy life???
Tuffnells have been around for over 100 years. Became part of the WHSmith group but were subsequently sold of to an investment group a couple of years back. Recently they have been in a legal wrangle with DX, accusing them of industrial espionage and stealing confidential customer client information. I believe they settled a couple of weeks back.
Tuffnells specialized in large and very large parcels, many of them being odd sizes which didn't lend them to mechanical sorting, so everything more or less needed to be handled manually. Although I expect RM via PF will pick up some of the business, I doubt RM wouldn't want to take on the oversize non standard parcels as there's no money in it!
Glitch in the matrix lol not sure what happened!
On the old IG Index forum it was obvious that 2-3 of the most antagonistic posters where paid individuals. I'm sure that it's the same here as it's in LSE's interest to drive engagement.
Red, there's plenty of anecdotal evidence on this forum that there are certain individuals who have multiple accounts under different names. Also it's obvious from some accounts who post virtually 24hrs/day 7 days a week that these accounts are obviously set up by the host to drive traffic. After all these hosts generate income through ads and advertisers will only pay if they believe they will get some form of engagement,be that through pop ups or through clicking on links.
I used to on the old IG Index forum years back and it was the same problem on there as it became obvious that the union w
Just in.....so that everyone is aware, Tate aka AngerSharkz, requires you to run your post past him first so that they can be vetted. Unless you pass his stringent vetting skills and include at least one obscenity (cleverly disguised) your post will be held up to ridicule and scorn. After all no one apart from him can be "100% right, 100% of the time" .......message ends.
Oooooh Tate, touched a nerve. Out of interest, how many shares should one own then? What about those who post on here who have sold up?
Again I didn't realize that you're the doorman for this discussion board? Is that another one of your Walter Mitty characters?
Tate, from the Walter Mitty of this discussion board that's pot, kettle, black!
What is it you said?
" I get 100% of everything right, 100% of the time"
If that were anywhere near true, why are you mingling with us plebs, when you've obviously amassed riches that only us mere mortals could dream of ! Lollllllllllllllllls!
Tate, not bitter and twisted at all about the payrise myself. I'm the lucky generation that can retire on a good pension and no mortgage with money in the bank. Not so good for those starting out. But then you'd need some empathy to feel sorry for them, which judging by your comment you don't have. Sad really.
