I can't see how they will be able to buy up shares bit by bit without it taking ages and risk of more company news. This is like a loaded gun at the moment and will only take one shorter to run for the door and the result will be chaos.
We need an event outside of the hedge funds and MMs ie a takeover bid or another RNS. Thinknit was yesterday i noticed morning trades going through later in the day. God knows how that is allowed.
On a side note this was interesting how the ownership of PFC is broken down……
Total Shares = 522m approx.
16.7% Individual insiders (87.174m),
32.5% Institutions (169.65m),
50.8% Public Investors (265.176m).
So shorters at 9.78% have borrowed 51.051m shares, In reality they could potential only have a small supply to buy these shares back from. If the Public and Private Investors don’t sell that many shares and they only have the 32.5% from the institutions to buy from. So would need the institutions to sell them 58.56% of their holdings to close 100% of their positions.
