The next focusIR Investor Webinar takes places on 14th May with guest speakers from Blue Whale Growth Fund, Taseko Mines, Kavango Resources and CQS Natural Resources fund. Please register here.
Didn’t want to do it but needed funds the other day so closed my position with a moderate gain and stuck it all in AVCT. There’s a lot of money flowing that way and I will use some of that profit I make to reinvest here as I strongly believe in this share. Good luck to all and, selfishly, I hope this treads water for a bit before I get back in!
From a TA perspective, you're right TwoCents. The only thing that will move the SP is news, which I do feel is coming. In the absence of news however we could well be back sub 10p, which nobody wants. News will drive this up, but the 'perceived' inertia and the reaction / behaviour of some to it will drive it the other way. As it always has been.
100% agree Southerhay
Truce agreed. Let's hope things work out.
Jeez.. you talk about staying at home with nothing to do - I think that's perhaps a projection of your own situation rather than mine. I have plenty to do, cheers!
Let's get this straight. I didn't 'advise' selling at 30p - read the post.
The gist, as most will realise, was that disgruntled holders who feel they've been sold a lemon had, at that time, a very good opportunity to get out in the high thirties. Whether you took a loss or booked a profit is immaterial, it was a chance to get out.
If a shareholder (disgruntled or otherwise) didn't sell at that point it was either because:
a) they felt the price had further to go and decided to hold, or
b) it was still under their buy price and they didn’t want to book a loss
Both options are entirely reasonable. What isn’t reasonable is pointlessly going over the same old ground, whilst talking down the company one is invested in.
And whilst you’re talking, perhaps wind back on the personal insults, it’s a bit childish.
Yes, I can work out the difference between 30p and 45p. What is your point?
..and it's the same old same old. You guys are still pointlessly talking down your investment, day in day out. It's pathetic. If you're that disgruntled, why didn't you sell out in the high 30's a couple of months ago? If you could have sold but didn't, and are still holding now but at the same time moaning and whining, then you're either stupid or greedy. Or both. Get a grip, get a life..
I agree Chippy
Michael Moore is, unfortunately, F.o.S, and has lost all credibility.
I'm not sure what an 'Indian style' beating is, but I assume it's done with the appropriate level of social distancing? If not, it might be rather self-defeating.
"I can guarantee that if people come to visit cornwall they will be in for a nasty welcome. Already people being threatened if they even look like they are not from here" - you make Cornish folk sound like a nasty, petty lot. That's not the Cornwall I've ever experienced as a Londoner.
I agree. Sideways for a bit before a climb to the low 600’s. No rush, just nice and steady. It’s setting up nicely in my view.
I've stopped writing to AFC, Notes. I've never once had a reply, let alone an acknowledgement. And I've emailed at least four times. We know they read this board so, AFC people, it's hosted by a company called BRR Media and the link is here: https://webcasting.brrmedia.co.uk/broadcast/5e985bc231da814c9fc6a477 - you can see how simple the process is.
For what it's worth, I just wanted to report my experience of registering for a shareholder presentation and Q&A for AVCT's meeting at 5pm tonight. The whole process took less than 30 seconds and was very easy. I'd hope that AFC might use a similar method in future.
FWIW, I’ve filtered DW and for me the board is now better. I rarely hit the filter button and I do respect opposing views. DW, it’s nothing personal and I’m sure you’re a decent guy but it just got to much for me. Obviously if you reply I won’t see it and I wish you well with your investments. For anyone else, you’re in control of what you do and don’t see. Just saying...
More please :-)
FWIW, he basically said ‘I don’t think it’s dead in the water, potential upside.. etc’.
DW, I know you’re not happy with AB (good heavens, we all know that) but who is your constant drip drip of vitriol and bad feeling towards our CEO actually *helping*? It’s not us as shareholders and it’s not AB himself. The only person it’s probably helping is you. You’re getting if off your chest, so hopefully you feel better. But I suspect it’s not really helping you either, so you keep doing it. The people it’s definitely *not* helping is us, the shareholders. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, for sure, but you’re invested in a company along with all of us so why not just put a smile on your face and take the record off repeat.
Scamp, you’re clearly more bothered about this than me. Why are you calling me out and lumping me in with the ever optimistic AJW? I’m not half as bullish as he is but, still, I have doubled my investment. It’s my money and I have bought more shares. I haven’t suggested to anyone else what they should do and then simply fail to see what I has to do with you.
Thanks for the concern Scamp, I’m happy with my investment. I don’t know your history but it sounds like you’re rather peeved about BLOE. Well so am I. Point is, I buy what I buy, I sell what I sell. I express an opinion on a board. What’s it to do with you?
