Big individual buys/sells dont make a difference rather the overall volume which is average...
We need a trading update from Boo and hope to God investigation findings/action are to be released soon as available i.e Sept 15th to draw attention to the stock and dont delay till 30th because this gives longer time for media to unload with some more nonsense....also would take shine away from what are expected to be stellar results...
My true belief is Boo did know people somewhere down the line are paid below minimum...HOWEVER let's not get too ethical to the extreme, sound judgment and critical analysis is always advised...
1) These people on £4p/h, are on it for a reason, the market sets the price, if they had the skillset to do something else they would, however they happy to do this and its livlihood for them.
2) The bulk of these people on £4p/h I have no sympathies for because they will be claiming welfare from the state too. The ones working illegally because of circumstances I feel sorry for...even then they should declare themselves to authorities.
3) If taking ethics in regards to modern slavery to the extreme, please empty your house of anything that says "made in china" on it just to be on the safe side. Never stay in hotel in Dubai because it would have been built on REAL SLAVERY, this list is endless, you get the idea.
4) There are people working for little as £3/hr BUT legally because the government said this is OK if an apprenticeship. Whilst very very few apprenticeships are a success, for the most part its nothing but cheap labour for firms who would otherwise be reluctant to hire and good for the gov employment figures.
5) There has been no evidence of mistreatment, abuse of workers, im sure most could agree this is a red line.
So all in all I have no guilt about investing in Boohoo, nor do I view it as modern slavery but rather business.
@DC2007, He's saying IF allegations of £4/hr are true it would not matter since for those areas Boo can switch to overseas and have it done cheaper than the equivalent of £4p/h...
Whilst all the other and most areas of UK which is above board would stay intact.
Not to mention the update of the automated factory we look forward to. Ask me and this is a blessing in disguise for Boo. They have the perfect opportunity to revolutionise the industry!
Its one thing to panic sell, its another to be posting every 5mins ramping and sell...
And to make matters worse then state position to sell and post negative articles on weekend...no respect for the guy now...
To highlight peoples true colours...
Why everyone acting so vulgar...tbh Chris I have read your posts for weeks, they was very rampy and never once did you mention the very real background noise which exists (showed up today). You can't champion a share like there's no tomorrow then sell out and not expect a backlash.
Were investors, we here to make money, stop playing the "I had a stroke" card, no one really cares, we don't personally know you...accept stick if you preach one thing and do the other...other than that no personal gripe, you seem like a good guy...
And to everyone else crying, ffs grow up, you buy and sell, stop shifting blame to others because your mind can't comprehend a situation in a rational way and you rely on random posters on BBs to tell you to buy or sell...
What this rumour has done, is its created a support for the SP at 10bn mcap...as proven price is undervalued and BT becomes prey for takeovers...
Good to know if in at these levels...hopefully 120 end of week...and definitely more if another article drops...
Let the scalpers and profit takers move on and itl drift up...
Not to mention, one more article and it really ramps up!
Idk whether this takeover is real or bs so some major shareholder can get out...either way I dont care...more often than not the SP heads towards the rumour price untill it is proven or dispelled...
120-130 end of week!
