I can't quite believe how much better this result is than what we were expecting;

In gas sands B at Anchois-2 Chariot were expecting to find another 50m reservoir, but instead, they discovered a whopping 100m gas bearing reservoir!

Pre-drill expectations for finding gas in sands C, M & O ranged from 47-64% chance of success. High quality reservoirs were encountered in ALL GAS SANDS!! Sands C, M & O have multiple gas-bearing intervals across a gross interval of 250m measured distance with no water-bearing reservoirs identified, materially exceeding even the most optimistic of pre-drill expectations.

I agree Whimax, it's ludicrously cheap & a good chunk of those who funded the drill through the placing are recouping some of their capital for a quick 35% return.

But seriously... 10p!!!! The market simply hasn't woken up to this massive gas deposit yet, it'll take a few more weeks for the news to spread.

When it does, I'd expect to see 30p and then closer to 45p once the numbers have been crunched over the newly discovered lower reservoir at Anchois-2. We might need the funding contract signed to get there, but it's already been written up and filed away, waiting on todays news , so it's just a case of sitting tight and waiting for the market to research and re-rate chariot's assets :)

Although the modelling predicted lots of gas, they've actually discovered more than expected.
I anticipate the SP to go up significantly over the next 3-4 weeks as the news dissipates across the wider market.

Will be interesting to learn what NAV is now that the discovery is bigger than projected.

Objectives for Anchois-2 are twofold: i) Appraise A&B sands in that location (previously discovered in Anchois-1).
and ii) Evaluate the deeper exploration targets C, M &O sands.

Regardless, they can print off any document that’s been sent digitally. Once you send the same classified documents to 3 or 4 different recipients, then it would be very difficult, maybe even impossible to know who did the sharing.

Like I said, we’ve had email and cryptography for the last 20+ years but there’s a reason why data rooms persist.

Most information can be shared, but there are key pieces that can’t be and that’s why explorers maintain data rooms.

So regardless of zoom, covid will certainly be impacting the timeliness of these negotiations.

The reason you have a 'data room' is so that none of that data is taken away and shared with 3rd parties. i.e. It's confidential. Otherwise bigger players could conspire against smaller players.
We've had email and encryption for over 20 years, that's not the problem. The problem with digital files is once you send them, cryptographically or otherwise ~ when they get opened on the other side ~ they can then be copied and shared with whoever.

We would all love the news flow to be perfectly neat and sequential, but unfortunately it rarely happens like that. If Chariot are in receipt of news that either materially affects the company or the company’s share price, then they have to release it.
What the BoD have said both publicly & recently has been very positive and there’s no reason to doubt that they aren’t progressing this project as quickly as they are able to.

Emailing them with your annoyance isn't going to achieve anything and I hope you haven’t implied that you speak for anyone other than yourself.
Putting out RNS’s telling the market how negotiations are progressing are bad for negotiations (literally the worst thing they could do). Chill out and let them get on with it, Anchois is a big project that’ll take some time to line up the ducks. Maybe make yourself a cup of tea and put on Bach’s Orchestral Suite No.3 in D.

The purchase wasn't whimsical, it was a strategic long-term move that cost the company next-to-nothing and is already cash generative.
It just wasn't the news the market wanted.

Expectation of $1.5 Billion in revenue. Market cap of just £30 million.
Market not not willing to price this project as yet (at least not today), which is great for anyone wanting to accumulate at these very low prices. The Risk/Reward ratio is amazing for this stock.

This is big for Europe. They rely too heavily on Russian gas (something they feel very uneasy about).
Gas from all of these West African nations added together could replace all of the gas Europe imports from Russia.
However, Chariot doesn't need to wait for this as the Moroccan domestic market is still hungry for new supply.

*News of new venture incoming.
*Awarding of 4 licences in 1.
*2 Letters of interest to finance the project.

The rationale for previousmaj’s negativity appears to be ‘the old BoD let me down in the past, therefore the new board will do the same thing and out of all possible options for funding this project, the only one I can comprehend is equity raise’.

You assume Chariot have made the deal to acquire Rissana without a plan or deal over funding. Others take the opposite view.

Certainty is costly. If that's what you're waiting for to buy back in, those shares you sold at 11p and 8p are going to look incredibly cheap :)

Whatever the volume you sold, I wonder how many of those you would be able to get back if news of a deal were to drop?

Maybe you'd be able to get half back at double the price.
