Up a bit, then down a bit. :-) I doubt whether a long upward run will come until the vaccine starts bringing the Covid numbers down.
10p? Ha ha, funny guy.
Bobster, a large percentage of the population have underlying health problems. The thing is, those problems wouldn't ordinarily kill the majority of them. Obesity, asthma and diabeties are really common and that's before we get to the big ones like COPD, AIDS, cancer, heart disease, etc.
Rookie, I know people who work in hospitals in Kent and they are absolutely wrecked by what they've been seeing. This isn't really the place for a big discussion on the subject as it's an investment forum. More interested in PMO here.
As soon as somebody says "sheeple", while following the loony flock themselves, you know it's time to discount everything they say. Do you believe in all of the QANON nonsense too Rookie?
Rookie, if you think it's hype, try visiting a hospital in Medway.
MoneyinMalta: Waiting for the low is as stupid as holding for the high. You could've bought at 95 this morning, made 10% and kept the cash around just in case your low appeared. As it is, you've sat on your hands and missed an opportunity.
Saying investors should take into account one-off costs seems pretty sensible to me. Spending to increase long-term prospects is a positive move, not a negative one.
My own simplistic view was to compare to BP. The new entity will have almost as many shares, with around 1/17 of the production. Debt levels would seem to be broadly similar as a proportion of company worth, based on people's guestimates of the newco's value. We need a market cap around 1/14 of BP's just to maintain the current share price. Where's that extra value coming from?
Yea, I know, the roughness of the back-of-fag-packet reasoning is not great.
Okay, I'd just to play devil's advocate for a moment. How about putting aside the name calling and explain why SK is wrong to assume that he can compare production of PMO vs Chrysaor to estimate the market cap of the new company?
Great fun watching this rise when you've been trying to buy for 2 hours. Lesson for the day: don't use iWeb as they are utterly useless.
This morning's reaction made me realise that I still don't understand the stock market. Maybe too many investors were expecting an artifically-high spike and bailed when it didn't materialise. Oh well, it was a good excuse to buy a few more.
Fair enough. It's the "this will go to 30p" statement that was the original bugbear. If there's one thing you see a lot on these boards, for all shares, it's people arbitrarily claiming a share is going to go up by 50%. I'd be happy to see 25p at this point, which is the same thing I said to an over-excited 30p prediction early in September.
Hopefully all the new license deals will lead to the company turning a profit by next year. Let's see.
Different timescales I guess. There are a wealth of shares that are going through the roof at the moment and big short-term gains are pretty easy to attain. Why stay with something that's been stuck in a rut for 3 months?
Not the magic 30p figure again. People have always talked up this share while it has continued to stagnate. It'll be worth a look when they start to turn a profit. There are lots of more profitable places to put your money until that happens. IMHO of course.
Based on what? Tea leaves?
Do you really think the deal was put together without Chrysaor knowing all of the figures? Don't be daft.
"it is the only share that can consume you" Nah, it's nothing compared to the experience of being in PMO this year. That's the stuff heart attacks are made of.
Too early to make that call IMHO. Plenty of RI holders aren't able to sell yet.
My wife's uncle's cousin's brother's nephew says Big Dave is full of it. :-)
