Think it'll move up only when true facts emerge. The press reporting of Black Friday will influence it-no doubt it will be successful for Dc-but the sp could fluctuate dependant on perceived sector performance. We need to wait for the update inDecember -comments around overall Xmas trading -America etc will influence. I can see £5 -but the 30 % reported potential increase-not for a long time Gla
Think we have now regained most of the lost ground when it drifted with the markets over the summer. It needs 3 things to happen to drive the Sp- 1-good news from the American venture 2-a divi increase 3sales to exceed expectation -especially Black Friday-and to minimise the expected dip after it. Still say 5£ by Xmas Gla
At last....john Lewis performance affecting the sector positively. The countdown to Black Friday will see this climb steadily as the Press report on it widely. £5 by Nyd Gla
wet weather tends to support dc's sales performance.
can't see any fresh news that should make this fall-seems over and above the markets
ddn't see this coming!now more like a correction.
Agree its a good top up opportunity. This share will continue to bounce along the bottom of the 440-460 price all summer.Thankfully the build up to peak season will start making head lines is October. This Christmas the headlines in the papers will be- 'High street sees the best sales since 2008',and 'Black Friday' bigger than ever!'.This is course is obvious due to the economic turnaround slowly creeping in-and tbh it won't be that difficult to do well because the last few years have been total crap.So the retail sector will do well and the SP will rise in anticipation.Closer to home the full effect of the CPW roll out in DC stores will be seen,as will the demise of pnones 4 u-this will annualise and the margin will increase because the mobile business is margin rich.Better sales, better margin and increased market share is a given. This is factored in with the Broker updates but until its fact or preferably rumoured the Sp will stagnate for a while.£5 at christmas-moving forward to£ 5.30 next year.GLA.
Doesn't effect the fundamentals-cant see what difference it would make to the SP.Any drop will be short lived-as long as DC are seen to be managing the situation appropriately.
money maker -global markets are being walloped by falling oil prices and concerns over the Chinese economy-coupled with a strong dollar. The spike in the Sp was driven by Ao reporting better than expected results. Greece and the prolonged saga around its bailout doesn't help either.
Brokers are piling in with an average sp of £5.00 and moving to £5.30-think this is a long way off-all the good news is factored in-confirmation of a roll out in the US may push this along a bit in the next few months-Long term this share will deliver-but I think 530 is a number that wont be touched until the middle of next year-earliest-gla
Hi Mutley-good news surrounds this share-and the long term growth reflects this-however I think most of the news is factored in so I am not expecting a rise come results day.I thought the news in the US would have given the sp a spike-but it didn't come to much.Cracking the US is no mean feet, and having been in DSG in the 80's and Best Buy until the end-I am a little concerned DC are getting ahead of themselves.Best Buy US are big in the mobile business-and will have raised an eyebrow when DC announced it's venture-and be of no doubt if DC decide to invest in 500 stores-Best Buy will look for sweet revenge. Hopefully their will be some fresh news-additional cost savings,a fresh venture maybe-additional unprofitable store closures-but it is difficult to see what else DC could be doing to raise the SP. A fresh dividend announcement would be nice-clearly they can afford it. Still a long term hold for me-£5 at xmas_gla

This will be a double whammy for us on Monday.I expect the sp to fall 10% at least.
This share will drift now-from between £4,40 to £4.70,alongside the FTSE.Concerns over the outcome in Greece, and the slowing Chinese economy are weighing heavily overall on the markets. This drifting does not reflect the current opportunities this company has to offer, just reflects the market overall. All the good news is factored into the SP now,so only fresh news will stimulate this SP forward-A positive resolution in Greece, and the speedy resolution of the UK referendum will push this forward (or backwards)-alongside the markets.Comparatives with last summer will be difficult to improve on (world Cup),so good news may only be forthcoming as we head towards Peak Season trading and Black Friday. No doubt DC will be setting itself up for a massive xmas-and it may be here we hit £5.00.If your checking into this share daily-I would forget it until November.£4.60 is a good price with more to come-long term. GLA.
yeah-has to be-this share will only go one way-looking forward to the bounce tomorrow Disappointing today-but not entirely unexpected
hopefully these buys will filter through
apparently-surely this is now the bottom and investors will start to buy back in?
may help when they are announced at 10.00-wanted to sell at 4.90-but thought I'd wait-just typical-to be fair to DC what else could they do? Even Greece performed well
