The PoC was for a *maximum* 12 months from May last year so it could end tomorrow for all we know ...
I'd be gobsmacked if a broad agreement on the deal hasn't already been reached, at least verbally, and yes, I would expect a long term deal to be agreed and even three years sounds short to me in this context.
Ya gorra remember that in this context, the BBC need FBT as much as FBT need the BBC and it's likely to be such a strategic shift in workflow there that even with 10+ months of PoC behind them, the impact of change going forward throughout the business will still need to be assessed and risks taken care of, including the risk of not signing up for long enough such that FBT go and do one with someone else and leave the BBC hanging lol
It's such a huge organisation that this thing has to be nailed down tight on both sides and that's precisely what I expect to happen but again, I'd be amazed if they hadn't sorted 85% of it already and likely as not since/because of the December placing at 10.00p and the deramping mob who turned up in here very shortly after ..
