Hey.

They're working the final downswing ahead of MOD's pivotal DFS in Q1 2019.

As notified yesterday by MTR, we're about to pick up an effective c25% stake in MOD.

MOD's mcap should double to c30% (typical at DFS stage) of NPV ($400m @ $3 copper) from the (also typical) c16% of NPV valuation at the current PFS stage.

MOD has reached the typical 16% of NPV level so that's why you're starting to see blue there and it's a reasonable expectation that it's mcap will now move upwards to that c30% valuation over the next five months - and our NAV with it - don't forget to add our £6.5m in cash and THR stake etc for our final valuation.

They are longer term, yes, but sometimes more frequent updates are warranted as there's more "data" available at a given point in time than others. Of course I'm a large holder in MTR so it gets way more attention, everything else can take a number and are done at my own convenience :)

At this time I wouldn't suggest there's any need to rush in - agreed - but you're going to have to keep close tabs on news as it drops over the coming months.

Interesting to see that MOD aren't going to raise in London anytime soon - they've got enough money to do what they need to do leading up to the DFS in the Spring with some tantalising T20 exploration thrown into the mix between now and then.

There's still the US mid terms to come next week and (probably even more importantly) the G20 on the 30th - one whiff of a deal between the US<>China there and the Copper price could react markedly as the world's leading industrial bellweather commodity.

It could always go the other way of course (then I'm looking for $2.4s to hold on Copper) but in terms of macro, those are the two things to watch in the coming weeks imo as are Dollar/inflation metrics over the longer term.

I'm a buyer mate so fingers crossed they keep her pinned for a good while via those big ropey "sells" ;)

Otherwise known as the 38.2% Fib retrace of the pre-consolidation low vs post-consolidation high - handily tapping the 33c pivot on the historical chart - look very left :)

Oh I think we all know the reason for the bashing mate - MTR are about to take ownership of up to c25% of a company that even with zero exploration or PFS > DFS upside (unlikely!) and at $3 Copper could have a producing mine throwing off c$800m of cash over a decade or so. Bag some decent exploration or copper price upside (likely!) and that cash throw off may well be in the multiple $billions range.

We've got a £25m mcap.

Well to cover the full "field" you have to perm traders and investors of course so I dare say you're right :)

Trust me, in this game there are two types of investor:

Those with real financial clout that know how these SP/timing swings work, where the base value is at and who let their money do the talking vs those with £50 "invested" who deem it necessary to scream and yell at every +-30% move like their life depends on it.

Then there's the pro trading SP manipulators - you know who they are - who will flip-flop all over the place on their myriad of IDs and give it the big un with targeted share bashing attacks at just the right time so they can play/drive the swings themselves to max effect by putting off buyers. They're also capable of/responsible for the comedy spreads and pricing here - the more mud they can throw in the water the better for their boot filling :)
