China producer prices beat @ a whopping 9% last night - US CPI tomorrow lunchtime, we're only a hundred bucks from it now and I'm near-certain it's going to $2,500 at some point this year so who knows.

Gold back above $1,900 again - I wouldn't be at all surprised to see >$2k again by the end of the week after Thursday's CPI print which I think could be 5%.

Thursday's CPI print is the last one before Basel 3 so who knows what happens next ...

The bigger/est picture is this - The US is flat broke on paper within a few (3-5) years (can't pay principal of debt, only the interest) with the merest whiff of deflation and we've been in real-world recession for a few years now IMO - hence the "transitory" inflation nonsense from the Fed/BoE but this is going to be the play for the next two years at least IMO.

I don't take a blind bit of notice of the supply/demand side of things for oil re pricing - it's as made up as it is for diamonds.

It is your go-to though if you need to ensure that inflation stays high - and they do - so lots more "Black Swans" heading our way over the rest of the year no doubt IMO to keep it as high as they can get it.

One thing's for sure, if it's "all over" for O&G in the not too distant then they'll pump the prices sky high before that, SP500 stylee.

Looking forward to the drill here :)

PS: I also liked the relatively low carbon intensity here, significantly below industry average - that's starting to become a thing for O&G ...

I spotted what looks to be a possibly monumental breakout of a 12-year monthly chart structure for oil a few days ago - the sky is the limit from here IMO and of course we know that it's hyper inflation at all costs for the powers-that-be so pumping oil is a great way to do that.

HBR appears to be highly hedged so not the best play perhaps but TLW is going well and GENL looks to me like it should be at 160s already.

Looks good here - not bounced as much as many of the other big oilers - yet.

I have very high hopes for the oil price in the coming weeks/months.

Yup, hopefully oil is going to fly from here - as for the ding dongs between holders of different oil producers, totally pointless of course as if oil flies then so will all the big oil plays - FWIW, every big oil play looks great from a chart perspective right now IMO, HBR/TLW/ENQ/GENL etc.
