Why is wave power never mentioned in these conversations ? Always solar/wind. Wave power consistent with the tides ? Wind solar inconsistent ? Thinking of Simec Atlantis and what their chances are ?

I suppose my one point of doubt is then that the government mandates in the Spring how waste is recycled but they do believe in free markets and if eqtec is a great answer, which i think it is, then no reason to direct recycling waste to other projects. Always going to be some risk but that does put my mind at rest.

This feeds into a question i have had for a while with this anc other recycling shares; will there be enough waste to go round and will the cost of waste rise. If it has value i could see sensors on bins and consumers getting cash back for handing their waste over. Anyone got any idea of the risks around enough plastic waste ? Alsl these companies are subsidised by the government but eqt aren't. Will eqt be shut out in the Spring government paper in favour of these other companies, another poster was correct to point out syngas is not explicitly referred to in the governments 10 point plan and 180 page associated document.

Deserve it Bananaman. I was so close to selling out of AFC a couple of months ago. A mate of mine used to audit them, said it was a donkey stock and to get out. Texted him this morning suggesting he buy in because the donkey has go faster hooves.

Suspect short term holders getting out to buy brexit deal stocks. Been a great year for eqt holders. This will be back to 2p soon enough. Defo good chance to buy for LTH

Andrew987. Frustratingly i can't remember where i heard it but i think Spring or at least pre government recess is when those decisions about waste to whatever will be made. EQT has a number of reasonsi think it will win government interest. One is political. EQT contributes to Northern Powerhouse, jobs in the North and money so gets red wall votes plus they will have to show a Brexit dividend. Having done sod all to support renewables the last 10 years i think they will back things like EQT and then point to them as world beaters arising from state support allowable due to Brexit. It will be rubbish of course but i suspect that will be the line to prove a Brexit dividend. Could be wrong but EQT growth will be about red wall politics too imo.

Andrew 987. All the other small renewables in this area have partnered up and taken a big gain in share price doing so. In the last few weeks AFC / ABB Ceres / Bosch and whilst not new PHE / Peel. EQT is the last not to have found a partner and Wood is there most natural ally, suspect any drops in SP at the moment will be to do with MM's collecting shares ready for the Wood arrangement to be announced. The partnership or JV will improve EQT route to market.

Holy moley. I thought i'd read Paleblues research piece. Just dived back into it and got a load of stuff I've not seen before. Maybe skimmed it too fast the first time. Flipping heck. This is going to blow like a volcano.
