I beg to differ with Mr. Savage, the common market as it was, became about as common trading block, to align all member states to a common goal of peace after the horror of WW2, the politicians saw the opportunity to stamp a protectionist system on members who wanted to join, that spread to other leftist ideals. The open borders was a huge mistake, as can now be seen with the rise of radical right wing parties across Europe, the very thing that was constructed to give peace, is now bringing chaos and radicalism, as is now being seen. I visited the EU parliament just as the Euro was about to be launched, there was much concern from EU elected members about it, because of the Euro all countries had to align their trading and banking so no one state had advantage, oh yes!! that never happened, I did ask what would happen when big manufacturers took their plants outside of Europe, I was laughed at and said it would never happen, oh no!! As a trading country, we are much better out, just read export figures.

Well a new bid has landed from Autonation, whoever they are, but will surely fail at 32p, when Hedin have stated they want 35p for their holding, so they will have to pay 35p plus to send Hedin packing, interesting.

Looks like I was bang on for a come back bid, 30-32p range, will be interesting if Lithia do up their offer, if they do it will be before the meeting.

Do people think Hedin will come back in with another bid? if so what would be the share price offered 30-32p, or will they let it go?

Hedin been smoked out, their offer is less than last time, 29p, they will need to come back with at least 30p a share, or it gone from them, Hedin themselves valued their holding at 35p a share?

I believe tomorrow a RNS with conformation of the first half trading figures, that might flush out any other bids. If the proposed sale states a value of 27p a share, why only trading at 24p? perhaps unsure on the new listing value? Lithia getting a great deal I think.

Hedin said they would only sell for 35p a share, just to block another bidder, now they will receive just 16.5p a share plus part of a new company, which if I am not wrong will have a court case hanging over it, so Hedin might sell their holding for less, or make another bid, will be interesting to see.

It seems Hedin will not be able to block this offer, it only needs 51% vote agreement to go through, it could push Hedin to come back with a higher bid,

Hedin hold all the cards with any takeover for Pendragon, they offered 29p a share then withdrew, but in doing so stated that any buyer would have to pay 35p a share for their holding, so unless something dramatic happens, the only buyers will be Hedin, at a time and price which suits them. That and the court case will keep this share price down. IMHO.

What's with all these small deals?

Yes I topped up recently at 17.30p, I would think its an attractive buy for some company out there, cars are selling like mad.

We would hope so, even so this share has to be worth 22p at least

Yes, tomorrow or Wednesday, as well as the half year performance, so at least 2 RNS this week
