TBF, SAE have had a number of different hyrdo ventures over the years, now all sold off. It was really the USK venture that has been the turning point of the company. Whilst I'm not enthralled with the concept, it's not the worst solution and has comparities with DRAX, who bring wood chip etc from across the world to burn.
Had USK been successful, it would have financed the building of MyGen, that the decision was made during the COP talks as well as negative press around New UK coal mines, really didn't help our application, or the public/political/media mindset (even if they were not directly related).
Still invested, yes at a loss, can't see any quick recovery, there's definitely a viable ongoing business, it's just whether it gets the financing required for MyGen and BESS, or it gets sold in bits/ bought out.
I think part of the issues is they need a lot more funding to complete either A) USK Battery Plant, B) Mygen C) Japan or France D) Turbine development. Now they have separated A&B and C&D into two companies, their is less risk for those interested in providing finance for one aspect of the business in the funding being used else where.
My prediction/worry is that what is left of SAE might be split again into A & B. The real risk is that both parts will be sold of separately, and likely at little premium to current value, as I can see them being of interest to Shell or BP looking to further green wash/diversify their businesses.
I personally think the sub coal has no prospect in the UK, unless maybe Drax considered it. Whilst it has potential in Australia, Germany or Eastern Europe it seems fairly clear that SAE will concentrate on the Tidal and battery plant. I believe they will concentrate on the battery plant predominantly, planning allowing. We really need either/both Japan /France to come into fruition, and be delivered well, for their to be confidence in financing the expansion of MyGen.
Yes, but remember we are still have 1 turbine out of the water.
Could someone tell the share price they are still trading...
It is a bigger Mw unit than the others, so should make more of a financial contribution.
More importantly as partly pointed out, this is their designed unit which they are marketing, so having an evidential operating one providing proof of working and building evidence is crucial to being able to sell these units to Japan and in progressing operations in France.
We should getting news of the data gathered in France soon, as I understand the data gathering machines were out of water in April.
They have a week of deals on for our American subscrbers

Be interesting to see if we get any offers. I think the mango is a new flavour (not that we will be getting the nicotine pouches).
I have re-read it, you are correct, does that mean the 4th one is one of the Andritz hs1500's? I understood Project Storma allowed 2 extra units . Could add a sub sea hub to the other 3 cables giving a total array of 12? Funding permitting?
Shivest, They went from having no turbines in at MyGen to one now (their smallest), One of the AR2000 are due to be installed in May, then the final one in March 23 (They can only fit three on the current system). So whilst an improvement we have a way to go income wise. I think the AR500 in Japan was powered down in Dec 21 and we await news of any developments there
Currently it's just the 1 turbine in the water the AR1500 (1.5MW), its one of the AR2000 (2MW) that is due to go back in in May (presuming they can get a suitable boat) and the other AR2000 in March 2023. The AR2000's are the more profitable and I suspect will be the ones we are most likely to be able to "sell" to the likes of Japan. Proving the Wet Mate connection system on the 2nd AR2000 I think will be critical , as this will reduce the install and maintenance costs which will greatly improve the economics of a project.
The objections raised were not about burning the pellets in principal, but that the plastic was going to come from the UK rather than Wales. As such the waste burning would make Wales figures for reaching Carbon Neutral harder to achieve. Whether the fact that it might also improve the "plastic recycling" figures for the whole of the UK, and not portray Wales in the best light, may be an element.
I understand this was not easily rectifiable as the pellet manufacture we are teamed up with's plant is not in Wales and had contracts for supply lined up that were not from Wales.
The RN's is not confidence inspiring, it infers the other two turbines could be out of the water for upto 12 months.
So with the current economic/political situation causing a demand for more/new gas supplies, can we provide this ?
I understand that GNGC had off take nominations at Jubilee- Will these be taken up?
What about TENS, we were due to stop flaring there, was the separator installed and are we now able to sell this?
I am sure it was mentioned that we were giving the gas away, do you think their may now be a market for it?
Well it does pre-warn the results will be worse than anticipated. That's what's being reacted to, along with general market issues.
There's no indication the issue is ongoing though.
The RNS only confirms what we already knew, the product delivery has been held up, but has now happened.
The gummies were out of stock for sometime in the uk, but have now been delivered.
Whether this has also happened with any other countries would be interesting to know as I know they are active in Europe as well as the UK.
Apparently it hit a bouy....
Tbf he said he'd written of (their existing holding) then bought more at 3p, not that he'd bought at the bottom 0.7. I'd imagine his initial holding was somewhat underwater and they averaged down at 3p
They were offering free vinilla chew, with any purchase this week too (I'm on the USA mailing list).
The email posted from Chill, advised they were delayed as being made by an artisan producer, and then were stuck in Customs. So a bit of both I guess.
I'm positive chill but until people are socialing alot at pubs and festivals etc, it's going to be hard to increase sales and adoption of the smokes.
Insider, looks like your unintended prediction of 3 was right!
