>The site hasn't been abandoned, it has been suspended whilst waiting for completion equipment / isolation packer(s) >that have a lead time. These are not off the shelf items that you can pick up. As I've said expect delays of 1-3 months >(if it happens sooner then its a bonus).
Thanks. Given the scale of the suspension operation (half a dozen HGVs, several vans) it seemed like a lot more than just a pause for a week or two.
Yeah, and they just happened to remove them the same day that they all left the site.
No flare stack. No lights on. No vans. No oily people. Just some gently grazing sheep.
Still, we have waited over two years for something to happen since Tidders got caught drilling the wrong hole. ANGS certainly request patience :)
> No - the sun is from the South West - I am absolutely sure about that! I estimate the video was taken around 3:30 pm +/- half an hour.
Correct, the longer "top" perimeter faces north, the entrance is on the East side.
Those tankers look like the ones that have been doing a weekly run since August. That is a lot of "legacy" !
Nothing else this morning (although unlike others I am not parked by a gate all day watching) other than the usual white van delivering oily men this morning.
>>>Last time I checked with SCC planning department they said there was no limit at all on the tanker movements for Brockham.
Correct, there is no limit in the planning.
But it should broadly follow the estimates given in the submission.
As you say, at some point it will have to be agreed, but that is a while off.
>>Where I live in the country they are at school for 8am and finish at 3pm. No traffic goes through Brockham and the school is off Middle Lane.
9am to 3.15pm and then after school clubs. The curfew until 6pm is a bit harsh, but it gets busy in the morning for sure.
And you are right, they don't go anywhere near the school, but a lot of people use the back road from Dorking rather than the A25. And that is the narrowest bit.
What school?
Apart from North Down's Primary, with sites in Brockham, Leigh and Betchworth.
The knock on from any issue on the M25 or A25 means the back lanes get rammed. Not an issue the rest of the time.
Not sure even a tanker driver wants to have to deal with a herd of 4x4s who would not reverse for anything !
