I'm out. Good luck all LTH - I held for nearly 3 years and left with a reasonable profit but see the playing field in picking up cheap declining assets a struggle in the new world order where gas and oil are at a premuim. Best wishes each and all
I agree. As I've said before this has become a very boring and predictable share investment. It may well suit some who are happy with the market leading divi but for smaller investors whilst the divi is a bonus we also want some real time share price increases. Based on fundementals we should be in the mid £130's and more ....IMHO. I think we are being held back by the fact the UK investor and more importantly the market does not understand the company and what we do. Summed up by numerous posts on here and some quite recent one's from PI's who think our main income is oil !!
Sorry - I can't copy the link onto here. Today on BBC Business the top US gas producer EQT states the US can easily fill the gap left by not using Russian gas to the rest of Europe. US could quadruple it's output by 2030 ...
a.k.a - Does it matter whether you know me - Do I have to have been a member for X amount of years to be valid on any BB ? The fact I have chosen now to comment when previously I've been passive does not make my opinion less valaid than anyone else here. But does that mean I should be derided and abused ? No !
I saw potential in a then fledgling company. Now I see apathy and greed in the BOD, much like a lot of these companies where the BOD bleeds them dry with their over inflated pay whilst offering nothing in return. So the company either dies or gets bought out for pittance by those who see and crave success - I think they used to be called entreprenuers !!!
I appreciate your sentiment Killer. Thankfully I have not put all my eggs in one basket but even so it's not what I expected from this BOD and their silence is defeaning ! Good luck to all who got in low but I don't see how this is going to ever reach those dizzy heights again and certainly not in the next year. Maybe in the next 20 years LOL
Hi Jim - Very true but that aside we are still being held at a rediculous level and the green loby lot aren't responsible for that - The dynamics and year on growth and divi are sector leaders - Why aren't the big players being held back like Shell and BP ? Shell are currently engaged in a massive share buy back push. Despite the fact that all anyone knows about Shell is they drill for oil. Come on where is the reality here ......
I think DEC are well ahead of the game on the environmental front even before the questionable and underhand report from Bloomberg.et al. They have clearly stated their intentions on this front going forward and a budget set aside to carry this forward. Huge and continuing upward trends in natural gas prices and the recently reported lack of invesrment in new well drilling should put DEC at the forefront of the market. No government in it's right mind is going to impose draconian levies on natural gas companies in the current climate where supply is struggling to match demand ! The current and persistent share price makes no sense whatsoever. All my own view of course. Good luck all.
This is becoming for me personally a very predictable and dare I say it boring investment. I've been invested for nearly 4 years - I'm not a big investor so whilst the DIVI is welsome it is not the reason why I invested. Up 3% one day / down the same or more the next. Same old, same old today ! I'm not selling any day soon but we should be in the £1.30 to £1.60 region so it's massively underperforming - My view, just thought I'd throw it out there ....
We are no fly by night outfit and have grown exponentially since founded in 2001 by Rusty. Sustainability of the dividend and business model has been proven and reliable for many years so those who decry it as unsustainable or some sort of PONZI scheme are just ignorant or thick. You choose. I have ! As for capping wells. Well who does it better and more efficiently than us and to cap that ( pun intended ) we do what the big players don't give two hoots about and that's capping them properly ! The big players either desert them to leak gas and methane or leave it to the tax payer and government to do it for them after they have sucked several years of huge profit from their new wells. Come on Rusty there's a green horizon out there for the taking and we are ahead of the game. GLA genuine DEC holders
