Wow, that changed from the lawsuit info to a rant pretty quick. So done positive findings about the lawsuit, do people think they'll be an RNS or rebuttal with further intentions first thing. 6% scapled off the SP on Fri could well have priced it in... maybe.. ..

The certainty is Cineplex has started proceeding, it was coming, now it's here. The uncertainty for both parties is the result.

Hopefully the certainty of opening on 31 Jul will give a boost coupled with lower infection rate etc and possible vaccine being muted will aid the leisure sector.

CINE is alot larger and therefore "should" have more room to manoeuvre.

See what 0800 Monday brings, it'll be a crazy first hour with potential for fear or stop losses being triggered. Give it time to settle in. Dip in price and others will buy therefore making a market and opportunities

No such thing as bad publicity. If it highlights CINE has strong leadership, the PR team can highlight the positives of opening up at the end of the month.

If Cineplex claim is that simple to bat away, surely that'll have a negative effect on them ...

Yeah both companies said they'd sue each other around 12 Jun post the deal falling through. This is the first move. Now for the defensive and the best form of defensive is attack.

Strong rebuttal with facts to support why the deal was cancelled is required promptly, hopefully 0700 RNS (based on experience of other shares unlikely).

Can they have been that stupid not to predict a backlash and was due diligence not followed in order to avoid a lawsuit or be able to defend the position. I hope so ! But based on poor experience this isn't always the case

It's intention from Cineplex and sounds like sour grapes . Never know CINE could have a prepared statement and IF it makes it to court at great expense in whatever timeline they could win.

Panic will set in for some and yes staying in cash would've be a good idea this weekend - take your chance.

Let's see how strong CINE are at batting this off and getting the cinemas open. Predicted figures, release dates, preordering numbers etc, start rolling out positive news now to fight the negative. Court cases take time and will rumble on - anyone think the market knew and it's kinda priced in?
