Are we at the beginning of a hydrogen bubble? The meteoric rises that have been seen of anything related to hydrogen seems to have similarities of the tech bubble.
PHE have already said that there are no new developments other than the start of the build at Protos and the sp has hit 9p. They are probably at the stage of development that AFC were at about 3-4 years ago.
Companies that are currently not making any money and seeing their valuations sky rocket, sound familiar?
I certainly will be making use of stop losses to protect any gains.
Have not posted in a long time but I took another long hard look at the proactive interview. For me the interviewer asked the key question ... “how much is this collaboration worth?” ... and AB did not answer the question. This is a JDA and we have seen them before with AFC and other companies. However the keyword might be “strategic”.
Will be keeping a close eye on the sp in case it starts retracing after the euphoria has worn off.
Getting tired of hearing how big the H2 cake is from AB et al with no news of AFC getting a slice. IMO the best time to invest now is when we have the first sale/contract. Sure, you will miss the first spike but there will still be many rises to follow. Can't risk/afford to second guess when the corner will be turned.
What I find niggling in the back of my mind is why we have no contracts yet . The ev 'revolution' is on the horizon but still no commitment by the gov to roll out ev charging infrastructure. Perhaps the general opinion is that the 2035 targets touted by the gov is just lip service.
I would not rule out the same for AFC. Every placing that happens and whenever they sell some cheap shares to overseas 'investors' adds to the dilution.
Until we get a contracts that add to the bottom line; the only currency AFC is to go to the printing machines and issue more paper.

Eventually the subsidies that are paid for cheap power to the Chlor Alkali industry will cease with pressure to de-carbonise. That is when we will see significant interest but these initial steps to prove the tech are necessary before heavy industry sits ups and takes notice.
The article says to 'develop and deploy'. Does that mean they will be in competition with AFC as they will develop their own fuel cells? They should just buy out AFC or as TOB has suggested go for a partnership with AFC ... it could work out cheaper than starting from scratch.
The overseas investor must be kicking himself right now has his/her position will be showing a big loss.
Looking at this again , the question is would this investor have been able to obtain the stock on the open market at the price that was issued. Surely the price would still be north of 21p if this investor had bought on the open market.
I am not too worried about the drop. Small subscription to facilitate the orders that are anticipated after the ev charger is launched. AFC are basically spelling out that the orders are more or less in the bag without actually saying they are in the bag. All good so far.
Th
I certainly hope so. Currently the increase in sp is due the news flow rather than organic growth to the bottom line. We desperately need some news that future revenues are inevitable otherwise we could see a trace back.
I am still holding but I could get out now to break even. I am loathed to do so just in case we hit that 50-60p that was mentioned in the proactive interview.
No mention of longevity on the Gencell website. I presume that is down to Gencell to replace any parts that have degraded during operation. The question is, is this profitable? Is it a matter of getting a foot in the door and then rolling out improvements and in the meantime keep the fuel cell running to sell power.
I am as unimpressed by AFC as most of the long term holders here. However, what keeps me holding is that a well respected company like Denora has chosen to extend the JDA with AFC. Financially, they will not get any ROI unless AFC start to make money.
Denora clearly see some potential otherwise why throw good money after bad? Looking in from the outside, I have lost patience with this company but like most people here it is not worth selling as the hit would be too great.
Looks like GenCell have the tech for cracked Ammonia in their fuel cells.

AFC need to get a move on....
This happens every year. After the AGM there is renewed hope that maybe this time there will be some positive news after the rosy picture that is painted at the meeting.
Funding is secured for another year and the board resume 'business as usual'.
Who are the bigger fools here? The BOD who get paid for doing nowt or us who believe the same bs every year?
Does anyone know if these are available online?
Gencell may issue an IPO in the near future and they seem to be ahead of the game than AFC as far as backup power supply is concerned.
Just wanted ti know if they are profitable
Looks like we may have already had the the 'fuel cell bubble'
