Need to get the issued shared capital in order (reduced) creditors out of the way as reluctant shareholders,, divis announced and pay down debt..then we can have an sp that's respectable for a ftse company , not an aim one. It's barely a penny share atm
Hi All, I have just done my homework and understand that m cap is share price multiplied by the issued shared capital which in hbr's case is a very humungous number. However, I'm still of the view that a ftse 100 company ought to have a n sp that is above 30p. Crikey, you cant get an ice scream for that and our own linda cook has opined that there ought to be some share consolidation. Come on lads, if were going to join the big boys, let's have a big boys share price. Homework over.
Agreed, slow but steady rise from the low of 17p, and with all the stars aligning with demand for oil recovering well, post Covid, should be in for a v v good 12 months ahead. Not much to go wrong here, and TU on 23 June should be the spring board for a re rate to 30 at least, then push on for 40p by autumn ish.
Surely if theres a fuel shortage in the us due to pileline shut down, theres less need to produce petrol at the refinery ,therefore less demand for oil to produce the petrol , therefore price of oil goes down
..
I'm going to organise a referendum amongst hbr pi's that the system is unfair and we want a better deal. If a majority vote in favour, which they will then it will come to pass, as it's our democratic right. Simples.
Hedge Funds Increase Bullish Bets On Oil
By Tsvetana Paraskova - May 10, 2021, 10:00 AM CDT
Money managers have accelerated buying in the most important petroleum futures and options contracts, betting that oil prices will increase later this year as economies reopen and travel and fuel demand rise.
In the week to May 4, hedge funds bought the equivalent of 40 million barrels in the most important contracts, led by increased bullish bets on WTI Crude and Brent Crude, according to data from exchanges compiled by Reuters columnist John Kemp.
Me, superior ? Would not be here if so, I'd be on my watch in the south of France . ! Just a humble amateur investor and trying a bit of light relief away from indy ref banter and watching the sp swim thru treacle. Not trying to be clever.
the sp continues to be robust despite heavy selling pressure, so bodes well for when overhang is cleared. Not too long to wait now, surely and looking forward to TU on 23 June . "Should be a cracker " as Frank Carson would say . Hope so.
