SBB1 spud is mid august over there (assuming no delays lol). Spud here is expected 5-6 weeks earlier on 100% of 90mmbls.

Good discussion guys. This is the new aggressive/robust MATD with a longer term strategy and conviction. Today's RNS will now set up the appetite for real investment. Especially as the rig will mobilise post Snow to the drill ready Wild Horse prospect so any dips will be shirt lived - if at all as Wild Horse is 5X the recoverable estimate. It's gone from someone earlier claiming the potential of no drills in 2018 to the drilling of at least 3 plus 2 more early next year. Mike Buck is a breath of fresh air. The Montogolian government are no doubt very pleased indeed with his technical and business nouse and will breathe confidence in their decision to go with the $1billion oil refinery loan.

I agree with your post 1949. I think the fact that we have 100% ownership of all six funded wells across five different basins can't be over looked. Especially with Snow spudding in the very near term early July by the sound of it. I bet the Mongolian government are probably the most pleased as it secures exploration on the additional two targets. If i recall correctly the NPV10 on 50mmbls was $451M. So 850mmbls target is $10billion is that right?

I also think it was prudent not to include a spud date as that news item alone is a serious SP catalyst which can be saved for the end of next week for example but can happen any day as it were

Initial shock followed by a future secured by MATD targetting five basin openers from the proceeds. 1) Drill pad completed. 2) Rig mobilising to site and it's not even mid June 3) Spud first or second week of July at the latest.
