Agree, though i have no problems with not acting out that 2nd envisaged drill, not after the results of the NT-2 well. They needed to sit down and do their homework, which is where we are today.

no, im not saying they don't care and of course they want to be assured they are going to be paid for gas. but we are talking of two different company's and two different license and really with two different agenders. but in saying that there is that 29% connection, so maybe just maybe, when Aminex states in their HY Report (regarding the receivables) that they believe, "that both parties agree that these matters need to be resolved satisfactorily and swiftly to benefit the local gas industry and enable Tanzania to secure further investment and upstream gas developmen", they are eluding to the Ntorya ((seismic drilling etc), which would indicate that during negotiations of F/O, license extension etc by all parties , that some pressure was laid to bear on the Gov/TPDC regarding the receivables, and due consideration has been taken. yes fingers crossed

i don't think moneys owed to Aminex for KN gas, would have anything to do with a decision by ARA/APT to commence the 3D seismic on a totally different license (Ruvuma)

well not so much for a country that supply's its own gas for its own economy. At the moment there's only Songo Songo and Mnazi Bay supplying gas, the only other near term supply (without having to rely on importing expensive LNG) would come from Ntorya, so yes (without the development of the off-shore gas) Ntorya's gas is very valuable to Tanzania/TPDC to maintain and grow their domestic and industrial economy.

"Tanzania has an energy deficit and has embarked on further industrialisation development programmes which has seen the planning and construction of numerous facilities along existing gas delivery infrastructure either directly connected to or in close proximity to Aminex's Tanzanian assets and which are expected to increase local gas demand significantly in the near future. In addition, it has been reported that discussions have been held between Tanzanian Government officials and their counterparts in neighbouring countries to explore the possibility of securing a long-term supply of gas from Tanzania and adding to future gas demand in the East African region. These positive developments in the Tanzanian gas sector bode well for the commercialisation of Aminex's assets in the future."

i'm inclined to agree Alcapone, so much cheaper for the majors to develop and produce offshore gas by use of floating LNG production.

Myself, I've often thought the longer any agreed deal takes to l bring ashore and produce the offshore gas discoverys, then the descoverd onshore gas ie like Ntorya gas, will be in more demand and hence more valuable.

yes i'm expecting news fairly soon re any deal made re; Scirocco 25% share, now the 3D seismic is about to start ie. mobilising of trucks equipment etc. along with the consequential cash calls that will now be issued. Scirocco has made it clear they want out of their legacy 25% share of the Ruvuma PSA.

i wonder why ?
