Roundtable Discussion; The Future of Mineral Sands. Watch the video here.
Keep thinking back to the 3-9 months guidance given during June's final results RNS and the fact that Jangada aligned its financial year with ValOre (but also, in effect, Largo). Maybe we will see a deal with Largo in the new financial year and early 2023
Gains day after day...maybe everyone thinks that with political stability assured, we are looking good for some news? Also, I think maybe a slowdown has spread been priced in and markets are seeing through it
Don't worry Dcat, I wasn't being completely serious with our old friend. As Rio says, we have political stability, let's see if our potential partners will reveal themselves now.
Hurray, I'll keep my fingers crossed for nickel and quartzite too. Jangada just gets better and better
I spoke too soon. Sells with big round numbers. I just hope our NDA is worth it. Are the Blencowe investment and nickel tenement there to sweeten a takeover deal or to give Jangada post-Pitombeiras options? The suspense is too much
Any reason for this very welcome gain?
Decent rise today, we are becoming correlated with Blencowe!
Even iron could become a battery metal...that's what I meant to say
Thanks Dcat, I think even ore could become a battery metal too right? It suddenly occurs to me that Jangada might end up investing in several areas if it gets a decent income stream from Pitombeiras. There could be more investments in exploration around the site, investments in the new nickel asset, buying more Blencowe, buying more Fodere and buying back into ValOre.
I'm surprised we haven't seen a rush of buys today. For me this is suggesting that something big is on the cards for Pitombeiras. It makes no sense to make an investment like this unless you are very confident of much more money coming your way
Dcat, I agree and I wonder if the party we could be negotiating with is LB Group. They have graphite as well as titanium demand...

I just did a £2k top up. I increasingly think the company will sell the asset but in any case, the complete absence of communication should give us confidence that an NDA is in place and that a big deal is being negotiated
Buy of 200k at full ask suggests something might be brewing
Rising sp looks more the product of low volumes available, but we can't be far away from news now. Feels like there has been some kind of NDA in place for yonks
It's small volumes but you have to wonder how long it can be before we get news. They have probably been negotiating for more than a year
The trade at 3.30p is a buy by me. I have to believe that they are knee-deep in negotiations that could be transformative. That could explain why they are now looking at nickel too
Any signs of life for Jangada? Perhaps we are going to sell Pitombeiras to develop that nickel tenement?! Nickel appears to have good prospects...
SAO PAULO, Sept 7 (Reuters) - Brazilian mining company Vale (VALE3.SA) said on Wednesday that global demand for nickel should increase 44% by 2030 compared to that expected for this year, due to high demand for use in batteries that power electric vehicles.
"Demand for nickel is forecast to increase rapidly this decade with the energy transition," the company said in a statement, adding that the new forecast would be of 6.2 million tonnes in demand.
There's a comment by our old friend on advfn about Jangada picking up a nickel tenement owned by Luis. I don't understand why the company wouldn't tell the market about that. At least it suggests that there are signs of life! I don't know how keen they will be to drill it or what money they will have to do so?
I thought it was close at hand. Could it really still be uncompleted?
Cheers Dcat, I had a look. I'm hoping this doesn't require legislation and can be implemented before the presidential election.
