It is certainly the case that Scancell could be the possibility of a future takeover. An indication of this would be when there is no particular reason for a rising share price. This could mean that the predator is buying up cheap stock.

In answer to your question, I don't know enough about the Nasdaq to have an opinion. You must have had a very interesting product (s) for people to invest in when you floated, with a PE ratio that high!

My point is that IT systems aren't subject to the very lengthy trials as new medicines are because of the human involvement in the latter. First you have to write a protocol, get it accepted by amongst others an ethics committee, then you have to find patients and then you have to go through phase1, 2 and 3 trials.

Yes, I agree with you of course about the Fujitsu Horizon system but even after the bugs were discovered the appropriate action wasn't taken. If there is any justice there should be some folk going to prison.

I've read a lot of messages on this board with concerns about the length of time that Scancell's trials are taking. Unfortunately there is a big difference between developing new IT products and new medicines. There are very strict regulatory protocols to be adhered to with the latter, and quite right too. That is why clinical trials take so long. We just have to continue to be patient.

When particular mutations are targeted by immunotherapy, the population of cancer cells with those mutations may be eradicated but then other other cancer cells with different mutations may then grow. The same thing may be happening with Modi-1 in that it is targeting specific citrullinated peptides, which successfully results in cancer cell death. However there may be other types of citrullinated peptides that Modi-1 doesn't target and such cells may then proliferate. This is Darwinism in action. The point is that Modi-1 could be a very valuable tool in the fight against cancer but it may need to be programmed in many more types of citrullinated peptides. I am no expert but I think that this may explain why Modi-1 can demonstrate significant benefit initially. All these trials are a stepping stone to defeating cancer.
