Morning all,
I'm another that's mostly on the sidelines, and have always appreciated the freely given knowledge from those mentioned.
My opinion of the increasing troll posts, it confirms that we are doing something right by being in AML. I'll carry on watching and reading, and HOLDING!!!
Good luck to all
Cheers all, have a great weekend, more fun on Monday :)
Thanks for the replies!
I'm certainly in for the mid - long term with this so definitely not selling anytime soon, and dead right about not putting it on the board! :)
It just made me wonder cause I've heard it being mentioned a few times over the last few weeks on here, it made me wonder what amounts of money they must be referring to.
Thanks all !
Out of curiosity (and this subject hasn't, and probably never will affect a small fish like myself), when people are having issues buying or selling large amounts of shares, what kind of volumes are we talking?
Can I assume that if you want to - for instance - sell 100,000 shares you might need to split that into 2 or 3 separate transactions?
a link to investing .com was shared this morning, sorry I forget who.
I've been watching it ever since, live data etc etc and it's free
Mine is simply a combination of the characters from the 80's movie 'Trading Places', Billy Ray Valentine & Louis Winthorpe III. That's what came to mind when creating the account
Seems like there's a lot of us from the Notts area! I'm in Carlton
I'm in for the mid-long term, so AML is not a spectator sport for me today.
GLA, may have a peek later
HOLD HOLD HOLD if you can't BUY BUY BUY!!!
Hi JT, as a novice trader I'm appreciating all your calm solid input and stats - thank you. It'd be easy to have a wobble on a day like this!
Thanks JT :)
My original post:
"Congratulations MrNation, noted in LSE's market report email yesterday as Fridays 5th most recommended poster!"
Not sure if or why this has caused any confusion. I didn't think it read troll like.
GLA
I wasn't trolling, sorry if it came across that way, my congratulations were genuine! #5 most recommended!
Dart were a shocker, caught them in the 430's and sold with a meagre profit, they're now at £10 !!
I really appreciate the time you've taken to reply Pau1Oz, I'm learning an awful lot thanks to posters like yourself.
I'll also be watching very closely over the next few weeks, it seems to have some potential for bagging up over the next few months.
Thanks again ;o)
Morning Pau1Oz, just a brain pick if you don't mind for my own learning, and anyone else who may have an opinion?
I know this is off topic to AML, but hopefully an education opp for me...
Regarding the Hyve hype this week, I'm trying to learn about why things possibly went the way they did.
So, my novice guesses about the rise and rise of Hyve, there was a few days of shock and confusion following the general meeting then consolidation on the 27th/28th, the share prices obviously hit the floor compared to a day earlier - so my thinking on the rises on Thurs/Fri - a combination of shareholders entitled to RI purchases buying in quantity + buys from other traders who saw the dig drop and hadn't read the RNS's causing a noticeable swell on the Thurs, thus attracting attention for the huge spike on Fri morning?
Sorry if I'm way off, please put me straight if you can!
Looking forward to Monday with AML, wishing everyone a great weekend ;o)
Just logged in to say.......
Congratulations MrNation, noted in LSE's market report email yesterday as Fridays 5th most recommended poster!
£1 all the way !!!
Thanks for that Pau1Oz, I suspect that's the case and I heard there would be a possible downturn towards the 12th, which isn't far away but now that's all I'm hearing about at home LMAO
Good job guessing the peak, it really has been quite a rise on Hyve this last 2 days and adjusted SP has cheered her up a bit!
Thanks again, have a great weekend all, and looking forward to Monday!
Sounds like you played Hyve nicely Cars, well done!
I'm all tied up in AML, but he Mrs had a bit of a dabble in Hyve this morning when it was shooting north, but didn't sell so she's in still. Not for much, but I don't know much about Hyve apart from what I've read re consolidation etc, do you reckon they'll have another swell upwards next week or in the near future?
They're obviously named 'fool' for a very good reason. Another day, another U turn
clowns
Thanks JT, always appreciated
